After discovering that the Chaos Domain Compass had stopped working, Keli didn't tell anyone else.
The Chaos Domain Compass had been in use for many years, and all the Wizards currently in the Chaos Domain had been sent there with Thor's permission. But if they found out they could never leave the Chaos Domain again, might they start having other ideas?
Keli wasn't very close to most of them, and her trust in them was limited.
But she told Shaya.
Shaya had a special method that might let him contact Thor. He had also served as Keli's messenger before. She just didn't know whether Shaya and Thor could still keep in touch with the Chaos Domain Compass out of commission.
Fortunately, Keli didn't have to worry for long. Shaya soon came to her with good news.
"Keli." Shaya waved her into a separate Laboratory. "Thor contacted me."
Keli's eyes lit up, and a smug smile crept onto her lips.
"I told you he'd contact you soon. There was no need to worry." Keli crossed her arms. "What did Thor say?"
Shaya looked at Keli, but decided against reminding her who had been pretending to stay calm earlier. "Thor said we should pretend we haven't been able to contact him and carry on as usual."
"Pretend we haven't contacted him?" Keli's eyes shifted as she figured out what to do. "Get Brando, An, and Noah for me. We have work to do."
Keli gathered all the Wizards and told them they temporarily couldn't enter or leave the Chaos Domain.
Brando was the first to frown. With his hands behind his back, he paced a couple of steps, then came over to Keli. "Can you let me try that Witchcraft Item you use to enter the Chaos Domain?"
Keli hesitated for a
