Before leaving, Thor tried once more to enter the Abyss, but it seemed to recognize him. The moment he went in, countless Rifts appeared, waiting for him.
Thor knew these Anchor Point Monsters wouldn't let him capture them so easily anymore. If he went back in, the roles of hunter and prey would probably be reversed again.
Thor left the Abyss, thick with death energy, and said to Kismet, "Let's go back."
Kismet pursed his lips and followed behind him.
On the way back from the Chaos Domain, Kismet was so angry that he didn't say another word. Once they reached the Purification Wizard Tower, he ran up to the top of the tower and sprawled out.
Butler Hope came out to welcome Thor back.
"Tower Master, welcome back. While you were away, Lady Keli seemed to be looking for you. She came back every other day."
Thor calculated the time. "I've been away for three months. Did Keli say why she was looking for me?"
"She didn't. Judging by Wizard Keli's expression, it didn't seem very urgent."
Thor nodded to show he understood. "When did she leave most recently?"
He needed to work out when Keli would next come back from the Chaos Domain.
"About fourteen hours ago."
So Keli would be back in about ten hours.
"I'll be in the Laboratory. If Keli comes back, tell her to come straight to me."
"As you command, Tower Master."
The Butler bowed and left. Thor teleported into his Laboratory, then went to the Phantom Color Channel.
Beneath a sky full of colorful nebulae, Thor took the Anchor Point Monster out of his spatial storage and contacted Floco, who was still near the Abyss.
"Did Kismet do anything unusual after we left?"
Floco: [I didn't notice anything unusual.]
