Keri's Ability

"Have you completed the Ice Seal Array?" Herbert asked, sounding slightly surprised, though the depth in his eyes made it impossible to tell how genuine that surprise was.

"Yes," Keri nodded almost imperceptibly, then stepped to Thor's side and tilted her head to look at him. "If my plan is viable and you and Luke cannot hand in your answers within a day, then I win this competition."

Thor raised an eyebrow, but before he could say anything, he heard the smiling voice of Kismet from the side.

"Oh, Wizard Keri, you can set half your heart at ease, because Wizard Luke has already died in the distortion caused by the Wind Eye; it is impossible for him to come out and hand in his work."

Herbert frowned. "Luke is dead? Did you see it with your own eyes?"

"Yes." This time it was Lucy who answered. She finally stood up again, though her face was covered by a layer of White Mist created by Witchcraft, making it impossible to see her expression.

"A distortion suddenly appeared inside the Old Days Manor, and we were all running out, but Luke was just a bit too slow."

Hearing Lucy's explanation, Thor remained calm on the surface, but in his heart, he believed there was definitely more to it.

Luke's strength might not be on par with Kismet's, but it was certainly not below Lucy's.

It was illogical that Lucy could escape while Luke died inside.

However, Thor still said nothing. He merely glanced at Kismet, observing that the man showed no concern, maintaining a relaxed smile on his face the entire time.

But Keri seemed to be a straightforward person; she noticed the anomaly and asked directly.

"Why was Luke there? Did he come to you to hand in his work?"
