The Sacrifice

When Thor said he wanted to make a deal with him, confusion flashed across Pang De's face.

"What could I possibly trade with you in my current state?"

"I'll help you find Shaya, and you'll arrange for me to meet Beth?"

Pang De froze.

Kate, behind him, froze too.

Unaware that Thor had just sold out his teammate, Dean Pang could only ask, "You want me to help you contact Beth?"

Thor shrugged. "You look like you're in a lot of pain, but you're still standing here. Beth must be controlling you, right? I assume you have some way to contact her."

Pang De gritted his teeth. "I don't know why she left me here and no one else, but I can't contact her on my own. If you really want to find her, you can send your Spirit Body out and go to the Tree Heart Space of the Inverted Tree. She'll definitely be there. You're a Wizard who specializes in the Dark Attribute, so it shouldn't be difficult for you."

"It wouldn't be difficult, true. But I'd be giving up the home-field advantage to enter the Tree Heart Space, which Beth completely controls, and face a former Tier 3 Wizard and a Demonic Creature that's still Tier 3? All while betting they're still rational enough not to kill me on sight?"

Thor placed his hands on Dean Pang's shoulders, ignoring the pain on his face. "Or you could pass a message to Beth. I want to make a deal with her. If she's willing, I can help her overcome the difficulties of resurrection."

Kate behind them couldn't listen any longer.

He thought this Black Blade Wizard was absolutely bizarre.
