Background / History

Gorsa is a member of the powerful Radiance Family and once ruled the Wizard Tower in the Western Continent. Though he held extensive territory, he left much of its day-to-day management to its original rulers rather than personally governing it. His reputation across the region was built on both his overwhelming power and his volatile temperament. 174 746

He recognized Thor's unusual potential from their first meeting: Thor had exceptional but untrained Mental Power despite never having been a wizard. Gorsa arranged for Kazi to give Thor work in the Corpse Room, where Thor's dark-attribute affinity was discovered. 310 320

Gorsa's long-term research focused on souls, Vessels, contamination, and resurrection. He initially described his goal as resurrecting Lady Ula, whose soul had become corrupted after experiments intended to prove that a soul could exist independently from its body. Gorsa took responsibility for preserving her Spirit Body while his mentors and Thor developed a compatible Vessel. 151 312 319

After revealing that he knew Thor was a transmigrator inhabiting another body, Gorsa made an agreement with him: Thor would contribute to the resurrection experiment, while Gorsa would protect Thor's consciousness and secrets. As payment, Gorsa promised Thor the Wizard Tower if Thor survived. 320 321

The resurrection experiment triggered a rebellion within the Wizard Tower. While completing the fusion of Winnie and Ula, Gorsa fought Anze and Rum, advanced to Tier 3, killed Rum, and collected his remains as potential Vessel material. He subsequently entrusted the collapsing tower's Black Iron Coffin core to Thor and departed for the Radiance Family's Wizard Tower. 428 429 434 442

Gorsa later served near the Wall of Sighs, where he recklessly researched the Black Tide and suffered severe pollution injuries. He also created a false Wind Eye and killed the Tier 3 Wizard Clark, whom he believed was exploiting the Land of No Owner. 508 646

After advancing to Tier 4, Gorsa pursued the Eye of the Abyss. His expedition left him severely alienated, with his Spirit Body shattered and his limbs fused together; Thor treated him using a Soul-Fixing Needle and a specially designed protective bandage suit. During his recovery, Gorsa revealed that the “Lady Ula” he had maintained was a soul split from himself and consumed her to regain part of his abilities. 930 962 964

Gorsa's appearance changes dramatically with his physical condition, cultivation, and experimentation. He is most often recognized by his bandages, calm eyes, and unnervingly gentle manner. 132 442
