Seeing how interested Keli was in the Black Tide Pollution, and considering how much effort Byron had put into it, Thor made a decision.

"The Black Tide Pollution is a latent danger lurking beneath all our feet. Although I can currently treat some people affected by the Corruption, if the Black Tide erupts on a large scale, even I won't escape death. That's why Senior Byron and I have never given up on the Inertia Experiment."

Keli looked up from the many books around her.

After learning about the history of the Land of No Owner, she couldn't help feeling worried, too.

"My Metal Radiation has some similarities to the Black Tide Radiation. I'll bring over all my notes and insights from these past years. But can we really find a way to deal with the Black Tide on a large scale? Didn't you suspect that the Black Tide might come from some higher-level being? Could we be unable to resist it simply because of the difference in power?"

It was like how Wizard Apprentices could never stand a chance against Official Wizards.

"The Eye of the Abyss, the source of the Black Tide, might be a method used by a higher-level wizard, but the Black Tide itself isn't impossible to resist. In fact, I know of a place where Black Tide Pollution once erupted, but in the end, all of it became completely inert Black Dust and mixed into the earth. And the more terrifying Anchor Point there—the White Bone Beast—was slumbering underground. It had also lost the ability to infect us."
