Repeated Probing

After devouring Krum's soul, Ophelia returned to the mouth of the bottle, content, her eyes half-closed as if savoring the experience.

Thor had no idea whether Ophelia could directly read Krum's memories, too.

But even if she discovered that Thor had questioned Krum, it didn't matter.

After all, Krum had been inside the pages at the time and couldn't actively receive information from the outside world.

At most, Ophelia would know that Thor had discovered there was no second half of the biography.

A moment later, Ophelia opened her eyes. "You did an excellent job completing this assignment. Next, we can discuss how to contact Pearl in the Phantom Color World."

She hadn't mentioned the second half of the biography at all.

Had she asked Thor to investigate Krum's cause of death and the second half of the biography just to buy time?

No! It couldn't be that simple.

"About the second half..." Thor brought it up himself.

"Don't trust a traitor's words," Ophelia said softly. "Since you brought back his soul intact, I can naturally dig out the secrets he kept hidden."

She clearly wasn't going to tell Thor the truth.

Thor smiled and sighed. "All right, I'll leave that matter alone. It never had much to do with me anyway."

They dropped the subject and continued discussing the connection.

"I've looked over your proposal. It's certainly feasible, but it's also very risky. How can you guarantee we won't be attacked from outside while the connection is being established? And could the Phantom Color World use Pearl as a springboard to attack our world?"

Seeing that Ophelia had genuinely considered the connection, Thor began discussing it with her in earnest.

After discussing it for a long time, Ophelia and Thor settled on two preliminary methods of connection. They would
