The Black Tide was coming.
Thor immediately thought of the Wind Eye that had appeared in the Land of No Owner.
A huge amount of Black Tide had surged out of there, and Thor had experienced its terror firsthand.
His brow furrowed. "Does the Judgment Court have a way to deal with it?"
Sandy invited Thor to sit, then sat down on the edge of the bed across from him.
"You don't need to worry about that. The Judgment Court has fought the Black Tide for so many years that it's developed very effective countermeasures," Sand said hurriedly.
He was afraid he would scare Thor off.
"Although each Black Tide invasion causes tremendous damage to the Red Sea Tree and the Mermaids, the Judgment Court steps in too. Before the number of Red Sea Trees falls below the warning line, the Wizards join forces to fight the Black Tide and the monsters within it."
"Over the years, the Black Tide has threatened the Nephrite Continent to varying degrees, but it has never truly breached the continent's defenses."
Seeing Sand's earnest explanation, Thor raised a hand to stop him. "You don't need to do that. I'm not afraid of the Black Tide. If possible, I'd like to see for myself what the Black Tide on the Nephrite Continent is like."
After all, Sand had been confined to the Imperial Palace of Eternal Night and kept as a human blood bag. He knew only the basics about the outside world and had no idea how Thor had single-handedly saved half the Land of No Owner.
Seeing Thor put it that way, Sand went along with him. "Of course. If Lord Thor wants to see the Black Tide for himself, I'm sure the people from the Judgment Court won't refuse."
