"Lord Thor." A wizard hurried over and addressed Thor respectfully. "The Black Tide has retreated ten miles offshore. The wizards monitoring it have issued a notice declaring the Black Tide over. Would you like to stay here, or return to the Eternal Night Imperial Palace?"

Thor was utterly confused. Watching Emperor Ailuo fly from the sea toward the shore, he began to doubt the warning in the Diary.

Everything had gone so smoothly. The wizards of the Nephrite Continent had once again withstood the Black Tide's attack. Now that the crisis had passed, the wizards out at sea were gradually returning to shore, ready to pack up and head back.

Had I completely misunderstood? Wasn't this Black Tide attack the Masquerade Ball mentioned in the Diary? Or had the future I foresaw changed because I sent Floco over?

Thor was wondering whether he should call Sand over to continue with his plan when the sea... suddenly began to boil.

Thor immediately shoved aside the wizard standing in front of him and strode to the edge of the cliff.

The wizard he had pushed aside had no time to be surprised before the sight of the sea behind him terrified him.

"I—I'll go report this..."

He hurried off without even saying whom he was going to report to.

Emperor Ailuo, who had nearly reached the shore, immediately stopped and looked down at the water beneath him.

With the Black Tide gone, the sea had grown calm. The Judgment Court's control array was still in place, so the surface only rippled gently with the current.

But now, tiny bubbles began rising from below. They burst with little pops when they reached the surface.
