Thor knew something was wrong as soon as he saw those tailbones twitching, so he charged straight through the front entrance of the Wizard Tower.
And the Wizard Tower... didn't stop Thor at all. In fact, when he flew up to the entrance, it opened its doors automatically to let him in.
After seeing everything happening inside through the Wizard Tower's own consciousness, he understood that the tower was asking for his help.
Help with what?
Stopping bad people from doing bad things, of course!
Clearly, the Wizard Tower's consciousness also believed that Benjamin was doing something wrong—that what he was doing would endanger the Wizard Tower or the Wall of Sighs!
The Wizards who had fallen in battle in the Storm Sea more than a hundred years ago were still giving everything they had to save their home!
After sending Benjamin flying, Thor kicked the lid of the Brass Box shut, then planted one foot on top of it, pinning the shaking metal box firmly to the floor.
He leaned forward, resting his elbow on the leg braced atop the box. With a crooked smile, he mimicked Benjamin's twisted grin and said, "Let's put an end to this tasteless little act. We're fighting on the front lines so you can kill people to your heart's content back here?"
Thor turned halfway toward Deren. "You, go get Maria and Wizard Murphy. You should have some kind of emergency signal, right?"
Deren nodded and hurried up the stairs.
Benjamin cast a spell to stop Deren. "Sword and Blade Hell!"
In an instant, countless razor-sharp weapons appeared in the air: needles, swords, knives, spikes...
A powerful metallic elemental aura radiated from them. Even the ripples of Magic Power they emitted felt like blades, slicing tiny wounds into Thor's tentacles.
The weapons then
