It wasn't until Dumbledore had left that George and Fred came to their senses.
"What was that all about...?"
Fred stared blankly at their surroundings, speaking in a dreamy voice.
"Were we sleepwalking?"
George climbed out of his sleeping bag. The cold wind hit him, and he shivered.
"Hey! What's going on, Scott?" He walked up to Scott, looking rather comical. "Are we... in the Astronomy Tower?"
"That's right." Scott grinned. "Congratulations, Fred, George! You're both geniuses! You taught yourselves Apparition in your sleep!"
As he spoke, he even held out his hands and gave a few mock claps.
George's eyes widened as he stared hard at Scott. A few seconds later, he slowly turned to look at Fred, who was walking over.
Indignantly, he said, "Fred, this gentleman is trying to pull one over on us! But obviously, not even Ron would believe such nonsense!"
Fred shrugged. "Maybe Mr. Trollope thinks he's funny?"
"What's going on?" George slung an arm around Scott's shoulders, clamping it tightly around his neck. In a threatening voice, he asked, "How did we end up in the Astronomy Tower after falling asleep? And why was Dumbledore here?"
Fred coughed twice, putting on a serious expression as he looked at Scott. "You'd better come clean, Mr. Trollope."

Scott wriggled out of George's arm, plopped down on the floor, and pulled the now-crumpled Marauder's Map from his robes.
He smoothed out the map and spread it on the floor, motioning for the Twins to look with him.

George took out his wand and cast Lumos, then exclaimed in surprise.
"What's going on?" he asked, puzzled. "It's not just Dumbledore—Professor Flitwick and that Old Bat Snape are in the Headmaster's Office too!"
