Background

Jiang Kingdom was a major southern power nominally subordinated to the Star Luo Empire. Earlier generations of its rulers had nearly established an empire of their own, and Star Luo only forced the kingdom into vassalage after paying a massive price. Its royal house nevertheless retained the long-term goal of unifying Douluo Continent. 16 107

The kingdom’s ruling Jiang Family preserved a sword-based inheritance tied to successive Sword Gods. Its techniques were considered unusually complete, allowing trained Sword Soul Masters to fight above their cultivation rank. The royal heirloom was the Longyuan Sword, while the Jinxu Longyuan Sword was associated with the family’s divine ancestry. 8 16 25

After the infant Jiang Huai was abducted by assassins, King Jiang Liuyu mobilized the Wuling Seven Great Battalions and searched throughout the Star Luo Empire. The search caused widespread unrest and demonstrated the kingdom’s willingness to deploy its forces beyond its borders. 108

Jiang Huai was eventually confirmed as Jiang Liuyu’s son. The royal family concealed his identity while arranging for Yu Xiaogang to pass on the Jiang Family’s sword techniques and while assigning covert protection to him. 8

Territory and Government

Jiang Kingdom controlled 172 cities, making it the largest vassal state within Star Luo territory and, by the account given, across the continent. Its royal palace was built on a scale comparable to Star Luo’s imperial palace and contained dedicated residences for the king, queen, and crown prince. 60

Jiang Huai began participating in government while still crown prince. He handled memorials, proposed canal irrigation for infertile farmland, standardized roads, and later unified carriage tracks, currency, weights, and measures within Jiang Kingdom. 67 74 79

Jiang Huai’s ancestral recognition ceremony restored him to the royal genealogy and added the generational character Yu to his name. Jiang Qingfeng granted him the courtesy name Jiang Yuhuai during the succession capping ceremony. 60

Jiang Liuyu delayed publicly establishing Jiang Huai as crown prince until the latter reached Rank 70, citing the danger of exposing his identity. 60

The kingdom also maintained the Wuling Training Ground, one of the five major training grounds of the Star Luo Empire. Its graduates were capable of commanding armies exceeding ten thousand soldiers, and Jiang Liuyu trained alongside the troops stationed there. 8

During the eventual uprising, 6.7 million personnel took part in Jiang Huai’s military review. Two million were assigned to the campaign army under Baize Douluo, while the remaining forces remained available for city defense and emergency reinforcement. 87

Sword Sect and Royal Protection

The Sword Sect’s seclusion began after the founding of Jiang Kingdom. On the surface, Jiang Kingdom shielded the sect from outside scrutiny, while many of the kingdom’s citizens could also be regarded as Sword Sect affiliates. 73

The sect’s Five Clans Hall consisted of the Wang, Lin, Li, Gao, and Chen clans. These noble sword-wielding clans supplied several thousand reinforcements when Jiang Huai was injured at Death Valley. 54

Royal family members were protected with exceptional force. A Title Douluo was said to shadow any Jiang royal traveling outside the kingdom, and Jiang Yi called on Sword Sect support after Jiang Huai’s Jinxu Longyuan Sword was shattered. 16 54

Laws and Domestic Policy

• Jiang Kingdom subjected Soul Masters and ordinary citizens to the same legal restrictions. A Soul Master who attacked an ordinary person could receive soul-power sealing and five years of labor reform; severe cases carried ten years of labor reform or execution. 79
• Jiang Huai ordered nationwide road reforms, replacing uneven routes with smoothed bluestone roads to reduce strain on horses and standardize carriage travel. 74
• The kingdom adopted Gu Yuena’s Soul Ring Condensation Technique after Jiang Liuyu successfully condensed a thousand-year soul ring. It was first tested in small academies, then promoted throughout the kingdom. 74

Conflicts and Foreign Relations

Spirit Hall’s attempt on Jiang Huai’s life at Death Valley provoked a major mobilization. Jiang Liuyu assembled 400,000 troops from the Wuling Training Ground near Spirit Hall’s border, while Jiang Yi and Sword Sect forces intervened directly. 54

Qian Daoliu halted the conflict after recognizing the risk of war with Jiang Kingdom. Spirit Hall formally apologized, provided 500,000 Diamond Coins, and ceded Sajia Fortress City to Jiang Kingdom. 54

The kingdom later accepted displaced figures and organizations from across the continent, including Shrek Academy, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s surviving leadership, the Tang Sect, the Hall of Ten Thousand Beasts, and Dai Mubai’s faction after his loss of Star Luo crown-prince status. 73 74 79 86

Uprising and Transformation

After Jiang Liuyu abdicated, Jiang Huai was crowned king. At his first court assembly, he confirmed that the kingdom possessed grain for multiple large-scale wars and enough arms and armor to equip four million soldiers. He ordered all soldiers to take ten days of rotating leave before the uprising began. 86

More than twenty Star Luo duchies aligned with Jiang Kingdom and surrendered their jade seals as proof of loyalty. Jiang Huai set the uprising’s slogan as: “Destroy Star Luo, establish Tianyuan.” 87

Jiang Kingdom’s allied rulers executed Star Luo officials in their territories, while Jiang Huai ordered the destruction of Star Luo flags within Jiang Kingdom. The five great camps entered full combat readiness, supported by tanks produced through Shrek Academy’s Soul Technology Academy, Tang Sect Soul Masters, and the Hall of Ten Thousand Beasts’ soul-beast army. 87

Following Baize Douluo’s early victories, Jiang Kingdom was formally renamed the Tianyuan Empire. Its battle flag became a snow-white banner bearing the Longyuan Sword, and Jiang Huai became its emperor. 87

Legacy

The Tianyuan Empire eventually unified Douluo Continent under Jiang Huai’s rule. Jiang Kingdom’s former sword inheritance remained central to the imperial line, while Sword Sect continued as the state-protecting sect ten thousand years later. 106 110

The kingdom’s promotion of the Soul Ring Condensation Technique also became the basis for later protections afforded to soul beasts, whose Hall of Ten Thousand Beasts remained loyal to the Tianyuan royal family. 110
