Background

Dai Mubai was the Crown Prince of the Star Luo Empire and the younger brother of Dai Weisi. His position placed him in direct rivalry with his elder brother, whom he feared encountering during the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Elite Tournament. Zhu Zhuqing was his partner in both battle and the political struggle surrounding their families. 37 56

After returning to Star Luo City with Zhu Zhuqing, Dai Mubai neglected state affairs. Dai Weisi exploited this by slandering him to their father, Emperor Dai Tianfeng, who stripped Dai Mubai of his crown-prince status and installed Dai Weisi instead. Disillusioned by his father’s favoritism and unwilling to contest the throne further, Dai Mubai left with Zhu Zhuqing to seek Jiang Huai’s protection in Jiang Kingdom. 75

Personality

Dai Mubai initially presents himself as aggressive and proud, challenging Jiang Huai at the Rose Hotel after being insulted. However, he accepts his defeat with sportsmanship, eats Jiang Huai’s healing burger, and welcomes him to Suotuo City before departing. 12

He is competitive and easily provoked, but his conduct during the tournament shows tactical patience and resilience. He studies opponents’ openings behind his White Tiger Protection Barrier, endures Yu Tianxin’s lightning techniques, and refuses to yield while badly hurt. 48

Despite his estrangement from Star Luo, Dai Mubai remains deeply loyal to family. After the empire falls, he personally pleads with Jiang Huai to spare Dai Weisi, offering his own life as a guarantee or proposing that Dai Weisi’s martial soul be crippled to prevent rebellion. 91

Rose Hotel and Shrek Admission

Dai Mubai first encounters Jiang Huai at the Rose Hotel in Suotuo City. He challenges Jiang Huai as a level 37 Power Attack System Soul Elder, but Jiang Huai defeats him with martial arts and then treats his injuries with a healing burger. The defeat establishes mutual respect rather than enmity. 12

He later recognizes Jiang Huai’s group at Shrek Academy’s entrance examination, assists with their soul-power tests, and is impressed that twelve-year-old Jiang Huai has reached level 39. 14

Shrek Vice-Captaincy and Tournament

Dai Mubai helps Jiang Huai and Gu Yue register at the Soto Grand Arena and serves as one of the Shrek team’s vice-captains, alongside Gu Yue. 20 36

During the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Elite Tournament, he opens Shrek’s first match by immediately punching the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy Second Team’s captain out of the arena. He follows with White Tiger Meteor Shower to help end the battle in under a minute. 39

Against Elephant Armored Academy, he works with Tang San and Zhu Zhuqing to disrupt the enemy formation, eliminate Huyan Ba, and activate Nether White Tiger against Huyan Li. 41

Conflict with Star Luo Royal Academy

Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing face Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun during Shrek’s battle against Star Luo Royal Academy. Dai Mubai breaks free of Zhu Zhuyun’s Nether Illusion, then joins Zhu Zhuqing in the Nether White Tiger fusion. 56

Encouraged by Jiang Huai, the pair regain their resolve and use Nether White Tiger Explosive Kill against their older siblings’ fusion. 56

Loss of the Crown-Prince Position

Dai Mubai returns to Star Luo with Zhu Zhuqing but is stripped of his crown-prince status after Dai Weisi takes advantage of his absence from state affairs. He abandons any interest in the throne and travels to Jiang Kingdom with Zhu Zhuqing. 75

When Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing arrive injured in Jiang Kingdom, Jiang Huai postpones his rebellion preparations because of their situation. 79

Plea for Dai Weisi

After Dai Tianfeng’s death and Star Luo’s defeat, Dai Mubai petitions Jiang Huai to spare Dai Weisi. Jiang Huai grants the request, enfeoffing Dai Weisi as the White Tiger Duke with an estate, five thousand soldiers, a fief, and annual Shrek Academy admission places. 91

Dai Weisi ultimately cripples his own martial soul and chooses to live as an ordinary person, while Dai Mubai helps his brother’s family settle into the White Tiger Duke’s Mansion. 91
