Background / History

The Asura God is a God King of the God Realm whose authority centers on slaughter and judgment. He recognizes Giratina as an otherworldly God Beast whose authority of reversal and destruction surpasses that of an ordinary first-level god. Concerned that the Sky Screen's rewards could create gods and expand a rival Divine Realm, he supports direct God Realm intervention in the Douluo Plane despite its restrictions on God Kings descending personally 22.

He treats Tang Chen as a test piece against the Pokémon World. Through Tang Chen's Asura Demon Sword, he directly intervenes in the ranked battle, but Arceus counters the intervention and traps his projection; Tang Chen and the Asura God's consciousness are eventually defeated 29 32 34.

When the Firmament Divine Realm threatens the God Realm, the Asura God joins the God of Destruction and Goddess of Life in confronting Mega Rayquaza. The three God Kings are unable to overcome the opposing Divine Realm's rules and retreat after suffering heavy injuries. The Asura God, though the least physically injured, is deeply enraged by the defeat 90 97 99.

To gain resources through the Heavenly Pride Ranking, he proposes reincarnating through Tang San. He plans to use the youth's preexisting Asura divine power seed, then devour Tang Hao and Tang Chen to refine the vessel into one capable of supporting more of his God King will 100 101.

His disdain for mortals is matched by impatience when his authority is challenged. Being overwhelmed by Infernape and Blaziken wounds his dignity, while his defeat in the Magma Domain drives him to vow revenge 105 108.
