Background / History

The Divine Realm governs a divine system tied to the Douluo soul master system, divine inheritances, and the faith of lower realms. Its deities regard the Pokémon World and the Heavenly Pride Ranking’s rewards—particularly their world-origin and divinity-related effects—as threats to the foundation of its authority. God Kings cannot initially descend directly into the Douluo plane because of the plane’s suppression, forcing the realm to act through inheritances, divine senses, proxies, and selected mortal vessels 22 64.

After Giratina’s appearance and the abduction of Bibi Dong and the Rakshasa God, the Divine Realm becomes increasingly alarmed by Lu Feng’s interference with divine laws. Its outrage escalates when Lu Feng disrupts Qian Renxue’s Angel God inheritance and removes Martial Soul Hall’s temple and core members from Martial Soul City, an act its major deities interpret as open plunder of the Divine Realm’s inheritance system 21 42.

The destruction of Sea God Island and the severing of the Sea God’s domain further undermine the realm’s prestige. New rules allow lower-realm beings, including soul beasts, to enter the Divine Realm’s outskirts to collect Law Fragments; severe injuries result in expulsion rather than death. The God of Evil calls the resulting environment a “lawless land” independent of the Divine Realm’s former system 51 52.

Groudon and Kyogre’s domains alter the Douluo plane’s energy ceiling, natural laws, and spatial structure. The Divine Realm recognizes that the strengthened plane may eventually accommodate Level 1 Gods or God King-level power more freely, creating both an opportunity for deeper intervention and a greater threat from Pokémon World entities 64.

Rayquaza’s Firmament Divine Realm expands across the Douluo plane’s sky and begins eroding spaces near the Divine Realm. Its Air Lock and Turbulence rules interfere with divine-power circulation, peripheral spatial expansion, and faith-transmission routes. In response, the God Realm Committee dispatches God Kings to stop Rayquaza’s expansion 87 88.

Following Rayquaza’s integration of the Firmament, Magma, and Ocean Divine Realms, the Divine Realm’s forces are pushed back. The God Kings’ fusion through the Power of Creation is disrupted by Mewtwo and the arriving Superpower Divine Realm, forcing their retreat and leading the realm to seek alternatives to direct confrontation 94 98 99.

The Divine Realm later adopts a strategy of entering the opposing rule system through a God King reincarnation. The Asura God uses Tang San as a vessel, while the God Realm Committee sends 183 Divine Officials and deities into the Douluo plane to guide soul masters, distribute Law Fragments, and monitor the growth of the Asura Divine Domain 100 101 110.

Structure and Authority

Pokémon World Divine Realms

The Divine Realm views the Pokémon World’s ability to create gods, reshape life, and establish foreign rule systems as an existential challenge. Groudon’s Magma Divine Realm, Mewtwo’s Superpower Divine Realm, and Rayquaza’s Firmament Divine Realm each introduce distinct laws that contest the Divine Realm’s influence 22 71 87.

Rayquaza’s Heaven-Earth-Sea Tri-Element Domain combines one medium and two small Divine Realms, creating a stable system centered on Rayquaza. The resulting domain suppresses the God Kings and helps establish Rayquaza as a new object of lower-realm faith 93 94.

Asura Divine Domain

The Asura Divine Domain becomes the Divine Realm’s foothold in the Douluo plane after Tang San’s rise. Its blood-red environment, soul-devouring inhabitants, and Law Fragment mutations spread aggression and create Evil Soul Masters, triggering civil disorder across the continent 110 111.

Although it is a God King avatar, the domain is revealed to represent only 10% of a God King’s power. Electrolux exploits this limitation, absorbs 10% of its authority, and sends Ghost-type Pokémon to hunt Evil Soul Masters within it 114 115.

• God Realm Committee — Governing body that directs the realm’s response to Pokémon World expansion and authorizes intervention in the Douluo plane 88 99 110.
