Turning Dark: Uchiha Shisui

Without any barrier in place, Sarutobi Hiruzen could see every move the Uchiha made with perfect clarity.

Over a dozen Root operatives surrounded Shisui.

Danzo remained hidden in the shadows.

Fugaku Uchiha did not hesitate any longer.

He spat out a powerful torrent of fire, igniting the surrounding houses before retreating without a second thought.

Since they were leaving, these houses served no further purpose; he would put them to use as waste, turning them into obstacles to block the men of Konoha.

Uchiha Tamaharu stood at the entrance of the portal, counting how many clansmen had entered.

They were still about twenty people short of the total.

"They're coming! The group from the clan leader's side is here!"

An Uchiha responsible for sensing nearby chakra said to Uchiha Tamaharu.

"Cover them!"

Uchiha Tamaharu ordered.

He had left five clansmen with Three-Tomoe Sharingan by his side, all of whom were elite among the jonin.

Hearing Uchiha Tamaharu's command, they acted without hesitation, unleashing the Uchiha clan's signature Fire Style to ignite the surrounding buildings, creating obstacles to cover the retreat of the others.

"Everyone, get into the portal."
