Bartholomew Kuma slapped a piece of rubble.

But immediately, he slapped behind him with his other hand.
"Boom!"
He slapped a fireball apart.
But Bartholomew Kuma sensed something was wrong.
"Lightning Style: Earth Web!"
About thirty senbon were stuck in the ground where Bartholomew Kuma stood.
A wire was tied to one of them.
Uchiha Tamaharu was holding the other end of the wire some distance away.
Electricity surged along the wire in his hand, straight toward Bartholomew Kuma.
"Ursus Shock!!"
Not wanting to get hit by the current, Bartholomew Kuma unleashed his ultimate attack.
A massive pressure cannon burst outward from where he stood, its epicenter, instantly covering an area with a radius of nearly sixty meters.
The senbon were crushed and bent, the wire snapped, and the current couldn't get anywhere near Bartholomew Kuma.
Almost everything covered by the pressure cannon was left in ruins.
Even the massive rocks were crushed by the impact until they were nearly dust.
"He's a monster!"
"Run!"
Usopp and Chopper had become separated from the main group. Chopper had turned into a reindeer, and Luffy, who had shrunk from the aftereffects of Gear Third, was riding on his back.
The two were near Uchiha Tamaharu and Bartholomew Kuma. They were both too scared to even breathe loudly, afraid they'd be spotted.
Seeing the destruction Bartholomew Kuma had caused, they were scared half to death.
"You're really afraid of getting hit by electricity."
"Looks like your body's been modified."
Uchiha Tamaharu stopped hiding.
He'd mainly been trying to gather information and judge the difference in their strength.
But it seemed his opponent relied more on the power of a Devil Fruit.
As for reaction speed, he didn't seem much faster than Rob Lucci.
There was no need to waste any more time, then. He'd end this fight as soon as possible!
"You're not with Cipher Pol, are you?"
"These techniques you're using, and even the weapons you attacked me with, are more like the abilities used by a certain profession in that isolated island nation."
Bartholomew Kuma had also figured out something about Uchiha Tamaharu.
He suspected he was a ninja, a profession he'd only ever heard of in stories.
He began to wonder: could this man be with the Beasts Pirates? Had he taken Luffy to target Dragon?
"I'm nothing like those useless fools. We're on completely different levels."
"Shisui, Itachi, attack together."
Uchiha Tamaharu said coldly.
Then he immediately called for backup.
He could probably handle this alone, but there would be some risk.
If they all attacked together, though, there'd be practically no risk at all.
Shisui and Itachi stepped out of the shadows.
Bartholomew Kuma looked surprised. He clearly hadn't expected two more people to be hiding nearby.
By now, much of his body had been modified, including his eyes!
They were practically electronic scanners, yet despite the long battle, he hadn't detected where the two of them were hiding.
He grew wary, but because of his modifications, his face remained stiff. He could barely make any expression at all.
"Genjutsu: Sharingan."
Uchiha Tamaharu began transmitting the battle plan openly.
Bartholomew Kuma couldn't tell what was going on, so he didn't launch an immediate attack.
In less than two seconds, Shisui and Itachi had received the information and understood the plan. They immediately moved apart.
"Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson!"
"Wind Style: Wind Scythe!"
Shisui and Itachi spread out on either side of Bartholomew Kuma and unleashed their Ninjutsu.
Uchiha Tamaharu joined in with Lightning Style: Lightning Strike.
Uchiha Tamaharu couldn't help thinking that having more people really was great.
No wonder Danzo and Sarutobi Hiruzen liked to take large groups of people everywhere. If you unleashed more than a dozen Ninjutsu at once, most people really couldn't handle it.
Bartholomew Kuma naturally didn't want to take the attacks head-on. After all, he couldn't use Busoshoku Haki.
So he slapped himself away, choosing to reappear beside Uchiha Itachi, who looked like the youngest.
He raised his right hand and slapped toward Uchiha Itachi.
But the Sharingan saw every movement clearly. Uchiha Itachi simply turned aside and dodged the attack.
However, Bartholomew Kuma's hand struck the ground, shattering it instantly. Uchiha Itachi was blown away by the impact.
"Rasengan!"
"Sword Leap Flame!"
Bartholomew Kuma was met by a combined attack from Uchiha Tamaharu and Shisui.
Shisui was a little faster.
Bartholomew Kuma took a hit from Sword Leap Flame before slapping himself to another spot, dodging the remaining attack.
"Very troublesome. The odds of defeating them are ten percent."
"I'll lose my ability to fight, too."
Bartholomew Kuma quickly assessed the situation.
All three could react to his attacks, and they were fast.
That made his chances of defeating them here too low.
But escaping would be easy. He only had to slap himself, and there was no way they could catch up.
But Dragon's son would fall into their hands.
He didn't think these people were good. They might be members of the Four Emperors' Beasts Pirates. If Luffy fell into their hands, it could have a huge impact on the Revolutionary Army.
"Take Luffy and leave!"
Bartholomew Kuma made his final decision.
If that was the case, then he'd take Luffy and run. He didn't care what happened to anyone else.
Less than two seconds after he'd made his decision, Bartholomew Kuma had already changed positions three times. Now they were chasing him, and the situation had turned around.
When another large cluster of hidden weapons flew toward him,
Bartholomew Kuma slapped himself and appeared beside Usopp and Chopper.
They had just climbed to the edge of the bushes when Bartholomew Kuma suddenly appeared and startled them.
Bartholomew Kuma slapped at all three of them, preparing to send them flying together.
"Boom!"
But all three instantly turned into smoke.
Bartholomew Kuma's right hand passed straight through the cloud.
He'd never encountered anything like this before, and couldn't help freezing for a moment.
"Genjutsu: Sharingan!"
Without hesitation, Shisui used the Genjutsu he'd developed himself, trying to affect Bartholomew Kuma.
But Bartholomew Kuma's body only stiffened briefly. He almost immediately came to his senses, realized what was happening, and prepared to slap himself away to another location.
"Genjutsu: Sharingan!"
But a second Genjutsu followed.
This time, it was Itachi.
The hand he'd been about to use to slap himself stiffened again, then he came back to his senses.
"Genjutsu: Sharingan!"
The third!
Uchiha Tamaharu used Genjutsu.
But this time, Bartholomew Kuma barely stiffened at all. His palm landed on his body without a hitch.
But he realized he hadn't moved. He was still in the same place.
