After taking five minutes to calm himself, Sasuke put away his Sharingan and looked at the first scroll.
He opened it with trembling hands and fell into thought. It was a ninjutsu scroll, and it contained a Fire Release technique.

He put the technique—which he could learn—aside, then opened the second scroll. As expected, it contained another Fire Release technique.

The fifth scroll wasn't a ninjutsu scroll, but a guide to training in Sharingan Genjutsu. Judging from the handwriting, two people had written it. It contained various tips on what to watch out for when using Sharingan Genjutsu, along with ways to increase its power.
Sasuke didn't recognize the handwriting in the first half, but there was no doubt the second half was Itachi's. This was another sign that Itachi had left these scrolls behind.

Looking at the scroll, Sasuke thought of the man Itachi had called his older brother: Uchiha Shisui, the genius whose Mangekyō abilities were just as overpowered as Obito's. On top of that, his exceptional Body Flicker Technique had earned him the name Body Flicker Shisui!
"If it really was you, this would be the first great gift I've received since coming here!"
Remembering the terror of Shisui's Genjutsu, Sasuke instinctively put the scroll away. Then he reconsidered. As things stood, the Uchiha Clan Compound had no safer place than this, except for the shrine!
After all, Itachi had hidden the scrolls here because this place was safe. Otherwise, they would've been taken long ago by that hypocritical old Sarutobi Hiruzen and Shimura Danzō, the king of scapegoats!
"Looks like I need to gather up everything the Uchiha left behind!"
He set the scrolls on the table, left the basement, and began rummaging around his house.
Half a day later, Sasuke stared at the three scrolls in his hands, lost in thought. Was that really all there was? The Will of Fire had certainly left things spotless! After the fire, not even a blade of grass remained!
Besides those three ninjutsu scrolls, Sasuke had found two other things of interest: the Uchiha Clan's shuriken training methods and Uchiha Kenjutsu. The rest was just a little money. There wasn't a single valuable item.
"The Will of Fire leaves everything spotless. Sooner or later, I'll leave Konoha spotless too!"
Back in the basement, Sasuke looked at the few items the Anbu and Root had left behind. His Sharingan appeared without him realizing it.

Looking at the three techniques he had just found, Sasuke pursed his lips helplessly. He'd found the Shadow Clone Technique in an obvious spot. The Anbu and Root must've left it behind because they felt it was useless.
He'd found the other two in a hidden compartment in his parents' bed. They were the ones that had slipped through the net!
He set the two Fire Release techniques aside for now and began learning the Shadow Clone Technique. After all, it was a training cheat code. For Sasuke, it was a way to rapidly increase his strength.
Five minutes later, Sasuke slowly formed the hand seals. With a "poof," two clones appeared beside him.
Seeing this, Sasuke smiled with satisfaction. He then had one of the Shadow Clones slowly study the scroll of Genjutsu notes that Uchiha Itachi had left behind.
He sent the other clone to gather the Uchiha's possessions. As for himself, of course he had to figure out his system!
Sasuke waved his hand, and a blue screen appeared before him. After the Basic Ninjutsu panel came Fire Release. It only showed the Great Fireball Technique, a C-Rank technique with a proficiency of 190—just ten points short of mastery.
Below Fire Release was a Nature Transformation proficiency bar. Its maximum value was a staggering 10,000. But that made sense, since using Fire Release Ninjutsu would increase the proficiency. It might be a little difficult, but it would still rise quickly.
After Fire Release came Lightning Release. It was even worse: aside from the so-called Nature Transformation proficiency bar, there was nothing at all!
"Ah, I hope I can find a Lightning Release technique. Even a D-Rank one would do!"
Seeing how pitiful his Lightning Release panel was, Sasuke let out a helpless sigh and looked at the detailed panel for his next ability, the Sharingan!

Time passed slowly. Just as Sasuke was planning his training schedule for the next day, there was a "poof," and the Shadow Clone studying the scroll Itachi had left behind disappeared!
Looking at the vanished clone, Sasuke pursed his lips helplessly. The next moment, waves of pain shot through his mind.
"Phew... It's really profound!"
A long while later, Sasuke recalled the information he'd just received and felt a headache coming on!

Opening the Sharingan panel, Sasuke looked at the result and pursed his lips helplessly. Only 100 points? Looks like he'd have to keep studying!
The Will of Fire had left everything spotless. The seeds of hatred were sprouting.
