Background / History
Thunder Punishment was once a disciple of the Old Heavenly Emperor. He founded the Heavenly Court's Thunder Palace and is remembered as its first Lord of Thunder Palace; he later became the gatekeeper of the Ancient Immortal Realm. 948 2173
At some point, he fell from his former Sovereign realm and became a White-Bone Skeleton, severely reducing his strength. Despite this condition, he retained powerful lightning arts and remained a major threat to upper-rank Emperors. 847 861
During the conflict with the Heavenly Emperor, Thunder Punishment borrowed the Heavenly Restriction Bottle to restrain and destroy the Heavenly Emperor's fully matured Life Ancient Tree. Although Supreme Lord Lao helped hold the Heavenly Emperor back, Thunder Punishment suffered grave injuries, nearly shattered his Great Dao, and almost died. Many within the Ancient Immortal Realm mistakenly believed that he had stolen the bottle and betrayed them. 1055
He later gave the Heavenly Restriction Bottle to Mu Qing and became one of Mu Qing's closest allies. Together, they investigated the Holy Kingdom, entered the Land of Chaos, and persuaded Dun King to aid the universe against the Evil God. 1055 1085 1099
Appearance

Personality
Thunder Punishment is direct, forceful, and deeply protective of the Ancient Immortal Realm. He distrusts factions motivated only by profit and believes that the Ancient Immortal Realm and Heavenly Court bear responsibility for defending the universe from the Evil God. 1056 1099
He is selective with trust. He concealed the location of his Supreme breakthrough from most of the Ancient Immortal Realm, relying primarily on Mu Qing and True Lord Ningfeng to protect him from possible betrayal. 1149 1151
Despite his severity, he can be bluntly humorous and dismissive of claims he considers absurd. When discussing the Chaos God, he remarked that he would have “smashed [someone's] head apart with one punch” for bringing up the subject without proof. 1087
