I'll Destroy You in One Fell Swoop
Ba Di took the photo lightly, but without trembling. If Mike hadn't released his fingers from one side of the photo, Ba Di wouldn't have been able to pull it over with any force.
He is now so weak that he is practically incapacitated. Even Mike could easily defeat him. Large amounts of green substance are being generated in his genes, corrupting his body.
The sunlight shone on him with a touch of irony, no longer giving him strength.
He stared intently at the photo, his gaze fixed on a dog with soft, white fur that resembled a wolf.
This is the dog that El Family. When he and Haier visited El Family on Krypton, they saw it. It was exactly the same, yet different, because back then, it was just a dog and didn't have this kind of liveliness.
Now this dog has come to Earth.
Without a doubt, this is to protect Kal-El.
Have you had any contact with this dog?
Ba Di asked.
Mike was taken aback, clearly not expecting the focus to be on a dog.
He pondered for a moment.
"It was very fierce. When we tried to approach the baby, the dog almost bit one of us. It stayed by the baby's side and wouldn't let anyone other than the Kent Couple get close."
Mike said, then hesitated for a moment before adding, "I heard that someone in that town saw a white dog flying, but I don't know if it's true or if there's any connection."
Mike had no way of knowing why his boss had such a strange focus, so he could only recount what he had heard and what he had encountered.
The sunlight streamed in through the window, already quite intense, and floating dust particles drifted slowly.
The atmosphere quieted down, and silence fell.
"Can it fly...?"
Ba Di's heart sank.
Having only been on Earth for about a week, can it already fly? This level of genetic ability is at least as advanced as General Zod's.
Considering Jor-El's constant foresight, it wouldn't be surprising if Ba Di had anticipated that this dog possessed a level of genetic superiority beyond that of advanced genes.
In other words...
This dog is now even better than Ba Di.
This dog, with its awakened Krypton genes, had all its abilities fully activated the moment it arrived.
"Jor-El modified this dog!" Ba Di looked at the dog in the photo, pondered for a moment, and said, "Does anyone else know where the Kryptonite was found?"
"Sixteen kilometers away from the town, apart from a few of us, no one knows that, following your instructions, we did not discuss Kryptonite, and no one knows our purpose."
Mike bowed slightly and said.
Ba Di nodded, but his mind was filled with thoughts.
The sunlight shone on his thoughtful face, outlining his resolute features and the deep contemplation in his eyes.
Kryptonite is undoubtedly able to suppress Krypton genes.
He also really wanted to take the Kryptonite immediately, kill the dog, and then retrieve the Codex of Life from Kal-El's body to complete his genes.
But is Jor-El really that simple? Is it really that simple to just assign a dog to protect his son?
At this moment, Ba Di recalled everything they had fought on Krypton. The entire Krypton society had been turned upside down by the two of them, and several councils had been used to their fullest extent. In the end, the entire Krypton was against Ba Di, and under the overwhelming force, Ba Di lost and boarded the spaceship bomb that Jor-El had prepared for him.
He had no way of knowing whether Jor-El still knew he was not dead, or if he did.
Rushing in with Kryptonite like this could very well be a trap, a snare to lure you in.
Especially given Jor-El's intelligence, Ba Di didn't believe he would be unprepared and simply send a dog.
The biggest question is, does Jor-El know that Kryptonite is the nemesis of Kryptonian? After thinking about it for a moment, Ba Di felt that he did know.
Because biological genetic calculations on Krypton can even use gene matching to calculate and create a person's future, and use genes to determine a person's future, it is an easy thing for them to know that Kryptonite is the nemesis of Kryptonian.
There's no reason not to know.
Furthermore, the existence of Kryptonite likely stems from Superman's spaceship attracting debris from Destruction planets during its journey through space. This debris, radioactive in its explosions, traveled to Earth with the spaceship. This radioactive debris is Green Kryptonite. Kryptonite does not react with oxygen, therefore it did not burn up while passing through Earth's atmosphere.
That's how Kryptonite came to be on Earth.
It's even possible that the dog deliberately placed the Kryptonite there.
If you think about it this way, Kryptonite is actually more of a trigger, attracting Ba Di to deal with this dog and with Jor-El.
Perhaps, that dog actually carries Kryptonite to deal with me, or even to Kryptonite me.
Thinking about it this way, Ba Di felt it was only natural.
He knows Jor-El, your rival, your enemy, better than your lover knows you.
Without having several backup plans, Jor-El would never feel at ease.
Ba Di knew him very well, and he knew Ba Di very well as well.
If I'm not mistaken.
Jor-El is not completely dead.
However, Jor-El definitely didn't know.
Kryptonite and Red Sunlight very effective against Kryptonian, but there's something else they're sure they don't know that's also very effective.
magic.
He needs to find magic! Ba Di won't believe anything related to Jor-El; only magic, something Jor-El can't understand, can possibly Destruction him completely and allow him to obtain the Codex of Life.
Jor-El.
I'm going to Destruction you in one fell swoop.
Suddenly, Ba Di looked up at the sun, his eyes flashing with a fierce light, and said, "Mike, gather Leon. They will meet me on the thirteenth floor in a day. Also, go to the first floor and draw a vial of your blood."
Mike's breath hitched, his eyes widened, and a surge of excitement welled up inside him, his heart pounding wildly in his ears.
What Ba Di meant was, even if he said...
He was granted abilities beyond those of humans.
After following him for so long, he actually anticipated that he would eventually gain Superman powers, because his mindset was completely different, and he was now determined to follow Ba Di to the very end.
He believed that Ba Di could see it too.
The unexpected surprise right before his eyes made him unable to contain his excitement, and he couldn't calm down for a moment.
Suppressing his excitement, he said, "I know, boss."
Ba Di nodded, turned around, took Mike's black briefcase, and headed straight for the elevator that led to the private underground level.
As you enter the elevator, the elevator doors slowly close.
The hand carrying the suitcase had a green substance spreading up the back of its hand, revealing blue veins, making it look ferocious and terrifying.
Smallville, Kansas.
Sunlight streamed obliquely into the eaves of the farm's wooden cabins.
A cool breeze blew gently, tickling the skin and making it feel comfortable.
A white, wolf-like dog, strangely, twisted its neck tightly like a human, bared its mouth, revealing fangs, and its eyes flashed red as it looked up at the sun.
Ba Miu Luo Di... where are you!
