The next day, in the morning.

The sun was still shining, warm and Ying Ying, but the air was still chilly.

Winter has arrived, and the people of Manhattan are starting to bundle up in layers of clothing, wearing down jackets, their breath steaming in the cold air, their arms pressed against their bodies, sometimes shivering, going about their daily routines as always.

Perhaps a few people change in the present, but most continue on the same path, living their lives as before.

I don't know if it's fortunate or unfortunate.

Those who know less may be happier.

Of course, Ba Di doesn't think so.

Ignorance is a sin.

When danger comes, they can't even control their own lives; they are powerless against ignorance and have no happiness whatsoever.

Zatara brought a vast collection of magic, including ancient inscriptions, scrolls, gems, Deadman bones imbued with magical energy, withered wood, a noble sword inlaid with jewels, dazzling spells, sorcery, divine prayers, runes, and information recorded in magic circles in more than 120 different languages.

Zatara used magic to form a large, gray hand from the expensive sofa and glass coffee table in the Presidential Suite's living room, sweeping them all to a corner. Then, with a wave of his hand, a mountain of strange objects, including a magnificent noble sword inlaid with jewels, slowly landed on the soft carpet.

But that's not all. It's just to give Ba Di a basic understanding of the principles of magic. If he can't understand it, there's no need to bring up the more in-depth stuff later.

In the Presidential Suite, all the windows were open, and the Lightray illuminated the high-floor suite, making it bright and spacious.

Ba Di stood by the window where the sunlight shone most intensely, his figure solitary yet majestic. It was no exaggeration to say that the fate of the entire Magic World, and even the Earth, rested on his shoulders.

His eyes shone in the sunlight as he took a Sun Energy Capsule from his trench coat pocket and bit into it.

He transforms the solar energy absorbed by his body's cells into his own body's energy, controlling and guiding it all to flow into his brain, thus strengthening it.

Ba Di instantly felt his brain swell, as if his head had grown several sizes larger. Then, like a dam bursting, his brain experienced a frenzy of synaptic shocks and flashes of thought.

The whole world suddenly went "buzz," as if it had entered another clear and distinct realm.

The composition of the air, the movement of dust particles, the warmth of the sunlight—every single molecule seemed to be spinning, all clearly perceived by Ba Di. This moment seemed to contain the workings of the world, the truth of the universe, like an ant scratching at the heart, like a black hole, irresistibly drawing one in.

This is knowledge, a multitude of random thoughts, the result of a fleeting thought in the brain, even a slight chill in the air. In an instant, Ba Di could calculate how many dust particles in the Presidential Suite were stirred up, their trajectory, where they would fly, and what the outcome would be—all calculated in Ba Di's mind.

The brain's thinking was operating at an unprecedentedly intense and frenzied pace, exceeding a billion cycles in an instant.

Superman once spent five minutes reading all the medical books in the world and learning the medical skills that ordinary people could only learn in ten years.

Now, Ba Di can do it too.

Although his genes are flawed, he is intelligent, no less so than Kryptonian with perfect genes. He has even broken through the limitations of his genes and achieved accomplishments that ordinary Kryptonian could not even imagine. In addition, sunbathing has further enhanced his brain cells, making his brain synapses flash with particularly intense thoughts.

Ba Di eased the swelling in his brain, putting it into an exceptionally efficient processing state, sustained by the body's energy.

His eyes seemed to sparkle with wisdom as he said, "Let's begin."

Zatara nodded. "The most fundamental application of magic originates from Mental Strength. Using the physical body as an analogy, Mental Strength is like a person's hands and feet, enabling movement and the casting of magic. The heart and brain, on the other hand, are the soul, the innermost core. The existence of Magic Bloodline means being compatible with a particular aspect of magic, making it easier to utilize Mental Strength more efficiently..."

Zatara didn't speak in a mysterious way; he even used a simple metaphor to explain what was needed to cast a spell, all the basic requirements, and information about Magic Bloodline.

Sunlight streamed down on Ba Di's earnest and resolute face, casting a halo of light. He listened silently, absorbing the information and forming his own understanding of magic in his mind.

In his understanding.

Magic is also a science, a unique science concerning the spirit and soul, combining nature, the universe, and the mind.

Ba Di, of course, could not use or cast magic, but he had his own understanding of the basic structure of this magic by combining his own knowledge.

Magic unveiled a thin veil to him.

As Zatara explained, Ba Di gradually understood the basic structure of magic.

In its most basic form, it is no different from science.

The same rules governing forces, the fluctuations between particles, the frequency of incantations, the magnitude of infrasound, the runes of magic circles, and incantations—in Ba Di's eyes, they were all like the circuits of an electronic board. But this was not something that could be achieved simply by connecting electricity; rather, it required connecting the spirit, connecting the soul, and activating the Magic Bloodline.

This makes magic mysterious and difficult to predict; the fluctuations of the mind are too varied and unpredictable to be detected scientifically.

"A person's spirit and soul, since ancient times, have inherited and accumulated information from the placenta in the mother's womb. At birth, they combine with a lot of information from heaven and earth and are contained in their blood. As they grow, it becomes clear that this is the various Magic Bloodline. Some are good at manipulating elements, some are good at manipulating plants and animals, and some are good at manipulating minds. There are all kinds of different ones."

Upon hearing this, Ba Di suddenly realized that all life forms created on Krypton were manufactured, without passing through the placenta and the genetic information of the universe, the kind of human-to-human transmission passed down from the mother through the ancient womb.

Despite their power, Kryptonian have an invisible weakness: their minds are easily manipulated by magic.

That's part of the reason. Their genetically engineered genes lead to rigid growth patterns. They may be powerful, but their minds and souls haven't experienced the kind of information passed down from birth—the kind of information that a biological species receives through the spirit and soul from the placenta in the mother's womb.

So, is the Kryptonian mind a weakness?

Ba Di pondered silently. That's why he could break the limitations of Krypton genes with the soul of a transmigrator. Perhaps Krypton modified humans first develop physical reactions dominated by genes during their growth process, and then gradually develop consciousness and soul in the future.

Ba Di had some guesses, but ultimately wasn't quite sure, because his understanding of magic was still in its very early stages.
