The relationship between Batman and Nightwing, that is, Bruce and Dick Grayson, is actually similar to that of an adoptive father and son.

Dick Grayson was originally an eight-year-old circus acrobat, the youngest member of the "Flying Graysons" Family of trapeze artists, and was famous in Gotham City's circus, being the most watched trapeze artist in the area.

When the local gang demanded protection money from the circus ringmaster and was refused, they doused the ropes used for the trapeze act with strong acid. During the performance, the ropes snapped before Dick could jump, and his unsuspecting parents fell to their deaths in front of Dick.

After becoming an orphan, Dick was eventually adopted by Bruce Wayne, the philanthropist and well-known business owner who was present at the time, who is actually the real Batman.

Bruce, seeing Dick's tragic fate, was reminded of his own past and decided to adopt him as his son. However, Dick unexpectedly discovered that Dick's true identity was Batman, the mysterious hero of Gotham City.

So Bruce taught him combat and investigation skills, rigorously trained his physical abilities, and trained him to become Robin.

This was also Batman's first ally, the first Robin.

Robin, who had been with Batman for quite some time, gradually grew up. At that time, Dick was going through a rebellious phase, wanting to prove himself better than Batman and resenting Batman's overly cumbersome elder-like constraints and discipline. Batman, in his position as a foster father, hoped that Dick could spend more time on other things.

Of course, Batman didn't know how to be a good foster father at the time, so the two of them had a fight that couldn't be stopped. In the end, out of good intentions, Batman "fired" Dick, which meant he wouldn't let him continue being Robin. In a fit of anger, Dick ran away from home and went to Blüdhaven, which is next to Gotham City, to fight for justice.

Even so, every time he appeared as Robin to save others, he would be asked, "Where is Batman?" Unable to bear it any longer, he decided to abandon the identity of Robin and adopt the identity of "Nightwing" to escape the shadow of Batman.

This is the origin of Nightwing.

In addition, the Dick Grayson Family, up to the grandfather's generation, had a tradition of being turned into "Talons," murderous puppets, by the Court of Owls Grayson.

"Bruce, I think you need me right now."

Nightwing spread his hands beside Ba Di, a smile playing on his lips. Being able to help his adoptive father once again warmed Nightwing's heart.

Nightwing's plan is as follows.

Bruce confesses to being Batman and kills the Joker in front of the entire Gotham population.

So, all Nightwing needs to do is put on the Batsuit, disguise himself as Batman, and have Bruce and Batman appear together, and that will be enough to disassociate Bruce from Batman. Everyone in Gotham will think that this is just a silly Playboy played by Bruce, the playboy, to deliberately admit to it.

Everything is very simple.

That would cover up the fact that Batman killed the Joker.

Otherwise, if it were known for certain that Batman was Bruce, Bruce would face direct prosecution from the city government, the state, the police department, and the courts, and even Wayne Enterprises would be greatly affected.

"Unnecessary."

Ba Di bent down and looked into the microscope. In Barbara's blood, the cells had already begun to be eroded by nitrous oxide. With his extensive knowledge, he began to decipher the Laughing Gas Virus within minutes.

He didn't need to disclaim his identity Batman at all. Everything Ba Di did, every word and action, was calculated. Killing the Joker did not hinder his actions.

"So you want to go to jail? Bruce, being Batman is enough to put you in jail for four hundred years! Do you know how many crimes Batman is involved in? Murder, assault, abuse, theft, trespassing, robbery... OK, very good, you've committed every single one except rape."

Nightwing couldn't believe it. He followed in Ba Di's footsteps, constantly trying to persuade him.

He simply couldn't believe that Batman wanted to go to jail.

"Bruce, do you have any other plans? Tell me, I can help you. I'm still your Robin."

Ba Di was speechless. Batman did indeed have many crimes, but he had erased most of them himself, and they had not been found by anyone.

With a composed face, he stepped forward, took out a test tube, and found penicillin, as well as a large portion of drugs containing albumin, α1, α2, β, γ-globulins, triglycerides, total cholesterol, and Alanine transaminase. He adjusted the cooling chamber to -58 degrees Celsius and began the synthesis of Laughing Gas Anti-Depressant Cleansing Serum.

As the cleansing serum was gradually synthesized, Ba Di remained expressionless, treating Nightwing with the same solemnity that Batman always showed Nightwing.

In the white chemistry room, Ba Di didn't answer, his face solemn as he adjusted the cleaning serum, while Nightwing leaned anxiously against the corner of the wall, tapping the ground with his feet, looking very uneasy and restless. He kept walking closer to Ba Di, his worried expression impossible to hide.

"It's done."

Ba Di breathed a sigh of relief, finally managing to save Barbara.

Killing the Joker already crossed a huge line, and if Barbara can't be saved, Batman himself will likely find it even harder to act due to the rejection he faces.

He couldn't let Batman's actions stray further from the original Batman behavior, as that would lead to his own identity being rejected. Killing the Joker was already almost the limit.

He would have almost no excuse to kill the Joker unless he was under threat or in danger.

Because Batman originally didn't kill, believing he had no right to judge.

After cleaning the serum, Ba Di tossed it to Alfred and told him to inject it into Barbara.

Then, with a grim expression, Ba Di grabbed Nightwing's chin with lightning speed, pressed his thumb inward forcefully, and knocked out one of Nightwing's teeth amidst Nightwing's painful "Ah!" Bleeding gums stained Nightwing's mouth red.

"Are you crazy, Bruce?!"

Caught off guard, Nightwing pressed his cheek, staring wide-eyed at Bruce in shock, looking exactly like someone from an old-school prime-time drama... "You hit me? You actually hit me? You actually knocked out one of my teeth?"

Ba Di picked up Nightwing's fallen tooth, a compound that looked like a tooth on the surface but was inlaid with amber gold and the shape of an owl.

"What is this? My teeth, why is this happening??"

Nightwing gripped the spot where his tooth had fallen out; a dull ache still lingered there. Bruce had used too much force; he could still feel a throbbing pain in his gums, and salty blood was flowing from them.

Seeing how peculiar his teeth were, with a little owl inside, he forgot his pain and stared wide-eyed at the teeth in Ba Di's hand.

"Take him for testing, and then tomorrow night, he'll come with me on an operation."

Ba Di simply tossed the tooth to Nightwing without explanation, telling Nightwing to take it for testing himself.

We'll know everything tomorrow.

After Nightwing left the chemistry lab, Ba Di created more Bewitching Incense, neurotoxins, and drugs to control people's minds; he needed to control the entire owl group.

That would be equivalent to controlling 70% of Gotham's upper class, and completely swaying the direction of Gotham.
