Ch. 171Preparation

Ba Di examined a clone designed to test Jor-El and judged that its current strength would not convincingly threaten him. He ordered the clone enhanced with kryptonite defenses, red-sun exposure, and more Sun Energy Capsules, then reduced the amount after White Coat Hera warned that the body would otherwise explode.

  • Ba Di dressed with White Coat Hera's help and walked with her to the cultivation chamber.
  • White Coat Hera explained that the clone could match Ba Di's usual combat power and imitate his appearance and fighting data within a day.
  • Ba Di concluded the clone had to be powerful enough to kill Jor-El so Jor-El would believe Ba Di was confident of victory.
  • Ba Di ordered an Anti-Green Kryptonite Radiation Battle Suit, a concealed Green Kryptonite Dagger, red-sun radiation over Nevada, and 380 Sun Energy Capsule injectors.
  • White Coat Hera warned that 380 injectors would make the clone burst apart, so Ba Di reduced the number to 280 and planned to have Raven help stabilize it with magical equipment and a magic array.

Ch. 172Ready

As Cosmic Biotechnology Co., Ltd. flourished and Ba Di consolidated control of Noah Technology Park, he prepared a contingency-filled plan to face Jor-El and protect the Codex of Life. Just as he waited for their confrontation in two days, Leon reported that more than three hundred people named Barry Allen matched Ba Di’s search criteria.

  • Ba Di’s Cosmic Biotechnology Co., Ltd. gained worldwide fame, acquired the Noah Technology Park, and received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
  • Ba Di and Raven inscribed magical arrays and vessels onto the Kryptonian clone, while Ba Di prepared disruptors to stop Jor-El from escaping through a wormhole.
  • Ba Di used Spore Brain Cells to control generals at three nuclear-armed military bases, reserving the weapons as a threat against Clark if needed.
  • Hera took control of two experimental military satellites and modified them to release Red Sun Spectrum Radiation over Nevada.
  • Leon told Ba Di that more than three hundred people named Barry Allen matched the information he was seeking.

Ch. 173Strange

Ba Di investigated the unusually large number of Barry Allens and Hal Jordans, then learned that Victor Stone and Bruce Wayne had also disappeared from his surveillance. He suspected someone was hiding the real future Justice League members in a vast smokescreen.

  • Ba Di ordered Leon to investigate every Barry Allen’s family and ancestry after finding that their numbers seemed abnormal.
  • Ba Di called Nasus in Coast City and learned there were more than two hundred Hal Jordans, but none matched the background Ba Di had expected.
  • Ba Di asked Hera about Victor Stone and Bruce Wayne and learned both had left their monitored locations with family members.
  • Ba Di reviewed the whereabouts of Billy Batson, Jaime Reyes, and Constantine, but found no unusual changes in their situations.
  • Ba Di realized that Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Victor Stone, and Bruce Wayne were the only subjects whose circumstances had changed, and recognized that they were all connected to the Justice League.

Ch. 174Purpose

On the third morning, Ba Di examined suspiciously crude files on Barry Allen and Hal Jordan and realized Leon and Nasus had been controlled to waste his time. He concluded that the controller was trying to earn Jor-El’s trust so they could save Clark.

  • Ba Di woke beside Raven and struggled with the worsening weakness in his body.
  • Ba Di found the files on Barry Allen and Hal Jordan and noticed they lacked their usual detail and character.
  • Ba Di recognized that Leon and Nasus had written the reports while controlled, triggering his implanted information-protection mechanism.
  • Ba Di deduced that the controller had created meaningless files to delay him while pursuing Jor-El’s trust and a chance to save Clark.

Ch. 175The Last Supper

Jor-El realized that the unusually vivid sunset carried a Red Sun Spectrum that weakened his Kryptonian powers. As a scarred figure approached through the cornfields and threatened him, Jor-El recognized him as a sinner of Krypton and prepared to fight.

  • Jor-El watched Martha and Jonathan Kent try to comfort a fussy Clark before stepping outside after dinner.
  • Jor-El worried that his plan to use Ba Di to learn more about him had failed and that Ba Di's people had disappeared from Kansas.
  • Jor-El grew drowsy under the blazing sunset, investigated it with his vision, and detected the Red Sun Spectrum.
  • Jor-El transformed into a battle-ready, wolf-like form and recognized the approaching figure as a sinner of Krypton.
  • A scarred man strode through the cornfields and declared that Jor-El's time had come.

Ch. 176Outbreak

A sonic-speed clash between Jor-El and Ba Di blasted a hole through the Kent Family house, injuring Jonathan and Martha as they shielded Clark. Jor-El and Ba Di charged at each other and their fists collided, leaving the fight at its first impact.

  • A sonic boom tore a hole in the Kent Family house, and splinters struck Martha and Jonathan as they protected Clark.
  • Jonathan covered Martha and Clark, then checked the damage and saw the sonic boom trail leading away through the cornfield.
  • Jor-El raced across the cornfield at supersonic speed, destroying cornstalks as he charged Ba Di.
  • Ba Di charged toward Jor-El, determined to protect his son and fight for his life.
  • Jor-El transformed into a werewolf-like form, and he and Ba Di drove their fists through the heat around them and collided.

Ch. 177Fierce Battle

Jor-El and Ba Di clashed in a devastating battle that left Ba Di missing an arm and Jor-El weakened by a Green Kryptonite dagger. The chapter ended as Ba Di injected himself with a golden energy fluid and Jor-El’s eyes ignited with crimson light.

  • Jor-El and Ba Di charged through the cornfield and collided fists, blasting a massive crater into the ground.
  • Jor-El’s superior strength destroyed Ba Di’s arm and hurled him into a pit, but Ba Di survived by shedding much of the impact.
  • Jor-El was forced backward by the recoil, then staggered when a Green Kryptonite dagger embedded in his abdomen began draining his solar energy.
  • Jor-El pulled out the dagger and realized Ba Di had planted it during their exchange, while both fighters assessed each other’s strength.
  • Ba Di stood at the edge of the pit, injected a syringe filled with golden energy fluid, and prompted Jor-El’s eyes to flare crimson.

Ch. 178Jor-El's Response

Ba Di injected Solar Energy and began a grotesque, life-threatening transformation, but Jor-El trapped him in a pillar of ice with Freezing Breath. A crack appeared in the ice as Jor-El watched, fearing Ba Di might explode.

  • Jor-El fired Heat Vision at Ba Di after seeing him inject Solar Energy, but Ba Di had already begun transforming.
  • Ba Di’s body mutated rapidly, growing tumors and regrowing his severed arm as he absorbed the Solar Energy.
  • Jor-El realized attacking with Heat Vision could accelerate Ba Di’s transformation and feared Ba Di was risking his life to obtain Carl’s Codex of Life.
  • Jor-El leaped toward Ba Di and used Freezing Breath to surround him with a frozen domain and slow his movements.
  • Jor-El froze Ba Di inside a five-meter-tall pillar of ice and feared the trapped Solar Energy could make him explode.
  • A crack spread across the ice pillar as Jor-El watched.

Ch. 179Brutal Beating

Ba Di broke free from Jor-El’s ice and savagely overwhelmed him in a brutal fight. He drove Jor-El more than a thousand meters underground, while the impacts caused an earthquake that shook Kansas and nearby cities.

  • Jor-El tried to freeze Ba Di inside a five-meter ice pillar, but cracks appeared as Ba Di prepared to break free.
  • Jor-El chose to strengthen the ice instead of fleeing with Clark, and Ba Di exploded out of the pillar.
  • Ba Di grabbed Jor-El by the jaws and slammed him into the ground.
  • Ba Di pinned Jor-El in the crater and battered him with a rapid barrage of punches.
  • Ba Di’s blows widened the crater to nearly seven hundred meters and drove both fighters more than a thousand meters underground.
  • The impacts triggered a violent earthquake across Kansas, shaking nearby farms and cities hundreds of kilometers away.

Ch. 180Not a Match

Jor-El emerged from a buried crater badly beaten by Ba Di, but prepared to use the Golden Kryptonite hidden on his body. When Jor-El launched another ambush, Ba Di blasted him away with Heat Vision and charged after him on the ground.

  • Jor-El broke free from the rubble after Ba Di had overwhelmed him in their fight.
  • Jor-El touched the Golden Kryptonite hidden in his fur and readied his claws to use it against Ba Di.
  • Ba Di leaped out of the underground opening, and Jor-El attacked him in midair.
  • Ba Di struck Jor-El with Heat Vision, sending him crashing into a small mountain.
  • Ba Di charged across the ground toward Jor-El to control the battle's pace.

Ch. 181Judgment... Has Arrived

At Kent Farm, Jonathan and Martha protected baby Clark as Ba Di and Jor-El fought across the sky. Jor-El managed to lodge a shard of Golden Kryptonite in Ba Di’s fist and declared that judgment had arrived.

  • Jonathan embraced Martha and held Clark close as tremors shook Kent Farm and a distant figure tore through the clouds.
  • Ba Di charged across the landscape and collided with Jor-El, who tried to wrap himself around Ba Di’s waist.
  • Ba Di broke Jor-El’s jaw and battered him with a relentless barrage of punches, crushing his legs as Jor-El struggled to reach him.
  • Jor-El drove his claws toward Ba Di’s fist, and Ba Di snapped the claws while leaving the Golden Kryptonite shard lodged in his flesh.
  • Jor-El spoke Kryptonian through his ruined mouth and declared, “Criminal of Krypton! Judgment... has arrived!”

Ch. 182Sinner!

Jor-El killed Ba Di by triggering a lethal genetic reaction with Golden Kryptonite, then destroyed his frozen body and mourned Krypton as the sun set. A mysterious cloaked figure appeared from the darkness and challenged Jor-El, asking whether he had saved Krypton.

  • Golden Kryptonite and Jor-El's claws triggered a genetic reaction in Ba Di that killed him instantly.
  • Jor-El recovered from his wounds, declared Ba Di a sinner, and punched his frozen body apart.
  • Jor-El roared at the sunset, grieving Krypton's loss while feeling the battle's burden finally lift.
  • As darkness fell, Jor-El sensed a deadly presence and saw a cloaked figure emerge from the horizon.
  • The cloaked figure asked Jor-El whether he had saved Krypton.

Ch. 183Commoners and the Highborn

Jor-El attacked Ba Di in a rage, but Ba Di crippled him with dark rays and struck him down. Jor-El blamed Ba Di for starting the war that exhausted Krypton and insisted he could have saved it.

  • Jor-El saw Ba Di again and charged at him, consumed by hatred and fear.
  • Ba Di recalled the lowborn who had sacrificed themselves for him and raged that his only sin was failing to rule Krypton.
  • Ba Di fired dark rays that transformed Jor-El’s hind leg joints into chocolate and brought him crashing to the ground.
  • Ba Di asked whether Jor-El had saved Krypton, then punched him, crushing one side of his face and leaving him badly injured.
  • Jor-El accused Ba Di of starting the war and draining Krypton’s strength, claiming he could have saved the planet if not for him.

Ch. 184Deformity

Ba Di accused Jor-El of preserving the El Family’s power rather than saving Krypton, then brutally attacked him with magic designed to weaken Kryptonians. As Jor-El flew toward the Kent Family house, Ba Di revealed that the stolen Codex of Life was inside his son’s body.

  • Jor-El blamed the final war for Krypton’s destruction and insisted he had tried to save everyone.
  • Ba Di accused Jor-El of caring only about the El Family and struck him with magic that weakened his body and hindered his healing.
  • Ba Di condemned Krypton’s use of people as servants, soldiers, and entertainers without freedom, then explained that he had killed much of the ruling class because they had prepared a Noah’s Ark.
  • Jor-El insisted he had been saving Krypton as Ba Di continued to batter him, destroying his chest and heart.
  • Ba Di smashed Jor-El’s spine and sent him flying toward the Kent Family house, revealing that Jor-El had hidden the Codex of Life inside his son.

Ch. 185Why

Jonathan and Martha witnessed the badly wounded Little Kryptonian crash near their home, then watched a massive Ba Di catch up with him. Ba Di confronted Jor-El about taking the Codex of Life, while Jonathan stood frozen nearby.

  • Jonathan pulled Martha and Clark out of the way as a werewolf crashed to the ground near them.
  • Jonathan recognized the wounded werewolf as Little Kryptonian by the red cord around its neck.
  • Jor-El urged Jonathan to take Clark and leave, but Jonathan stopped when Ba Di approached.
  • Ba Di accused Jor-El of taking the Codex of Life because he knew the Krypton Council would reject his warnings.
  • Jor-El said he had been preserving Kryptonian civilization, and Ba Di demanded to know why he had not given the Codex to Haier, himself, or Zod.

Ch. 186By His Own Hand

Ba Di condemned Jor-El for secretly placing Krypton’s Codex of Life in his infant son, arguing that Superman would protect Earth rather than restore Krypton. As Jor-El lay mortally wounded and begged Martha to take Carl and keep him safe, the child began to shine, while Ba Di accused Jor-El of killing someone who loved his son.

  • Jor-El blamed Ba Di for Krypton’s fate and insisted that his son was Krypton’s only hope.
  • Ba Di argued that Jor-El had destroyed Krypton’s future by giving the Codex of Life to an infant who would grow up as Earth’s protector.
  • Jor-El, badly wounded, told Martha to flee with Carl and begged his son only to live.
  • Carl began glowing with a brilliant light while he slept in Martha’s arms.
  • Ba Di dismissed Jor-El’s last act and told him he had killed someone who loved his son.

Ch. 187Everything Was Calculated

Ba Di tried to draw out the unseen person he suspected was saving the Justice League, then ordered Raven to cut off Jor-El’s wormhole. As Jor-El continued opening it despite the danger to Martha, Jonathan begged him to stop while Clark’s powers warped the space around them.

  • Ba Di concluded that no enemy had appeared to save Clark and ordered Raven to cut off the wormhole.
  • Clark began radiating intense light as gravity and space distorted around him and Martha.
  • Ba Di warned Jor-El that interference would likely disrupt the wormhole and kill Martha, though Clark would survive.
  • Jor-El remained silent and continued opening the wormhole, accepting the risk to Martha to save his son.
  • Jonathan begged Jor-El to stop and shouted for Martha to escape, but the warped space trapped her from view.

Ch. 188When Immortals Fight, Mortals Suffer

Ba Di watched as the attempt to open the wormhole failed, killing Martha and leaving Jonathan devastated. He killed Jor-El, took the sleeping Clark, and told Jonathan to follow him if he wanted to revive Martha.

  • Jor-El refused to stop the wormhole, while Jonathan begged him to spare Martha.
  • The wormhole collapsed and vanished, swallowing Martha and leaving her severed body beside the unharmed Clark.
  • Jonathan mourned Martha as Jor-El realized his plan had failed and tried to attack Ba Di.
  • Ba Di pinned Jor-El down and killed him with a series of punches.
  • Ba Di took Clark and left Jonathan with the promise that he could revive Martha if he followed in Ba Di's footsteps.

Ch. 189The Unseen Enemy of the Future

Ba Di took Clark aboard a transport aircraft and asked Raven to conceal their futures from anyone with foresight. In a hidden dark space, two figures discussed a plan to recover Clark and sent a future-minded child to Africa to become the Dark Knight against Ba Miu Luo Di.

  • Ba Di boarded the transport aircraft with Raven and kept the swaddled Clark on his lap.
  • Ba Di asked Raven to cast a spell preventing anyone from foreseeing his and Clark's futures, then denied that he would kill the child.
  • Raven believed Ba Di had changed and rested her head against his arm.
  • Two shadowy figures discussed how one of them had used crude methods to remove Barry Allen, Hal Jordan, Victor Stone, and himself from Ba Di's sight.
  • One shadow said Clark's body could die and be reborn through the higher-dimensional wormhole device inside him, but admitted he could no longer sense Clark's fate.
  • One shadow sent the future-minded child to Africa to train with a man altered by Ba Miu Luo Di and become the Dark Knight.

Ch. 190Codex of Life Secured

Ba Di returned to Metropolis with Raven and began extracting the Codex of Life from the infant Clark, intending to transfer Kryptonian genetic potential into his own cells. After draining Clark’s blood, he ordered Hera to destroy the Super Light Speed Dimensional Wormhole Device hidden in Clark’s bone marrow, leaving its destruction set to occur when the remains left the laboratory or after three days.

  • Ba Di and Raven returned to Metropolis by transport aircraft and went back to Cosmic Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
  • Ba Di sent Raven to rest and took the infant Clark to the Negative Second Floor operating room to extract the Codex of Life.
  • Ba Di snapped Clark’s neck, then had the operating table drain his blood and confirm that it contained the Codex of Life.
  • Ba Di ordered Hera to destroy Clark’s brain tissue and extract his brain matter and bone marrow while scanning for the Nanoscopic Superluminal Dimensional Wormhole Device.
  • Hera located the device in Clark’s second cervical vertebra, and Ba Di ordered it destabilized and destroyed when the remains left the Negative Second Floor or after three days.
