Codex of Life Secured
The straight-line distance from Kansas to the Metropolis is approximately 1,800 kilometers.
The C-130 Hercules Transport Aircraft has a maximum speed of 620 kilometers per hour, so in just three and a half hours, Ba Di and Raven were back in Metropolis.
It's only 11 p. m. now, and the Metropolis is ablaze with lights, a kaleidoscope of colors, a vibrant and bustling night scene. The headlights of cars converge into a long river of starlight, creating a beautiful spectacle in the city.
The transport plane churned up powerful air currents, its bright, blinding lights piercing the darkness. On a deserted suburban road, the roar of its massive engines, churning up the air currents and drowning out the rustling sounds nearby, brought it to a stop.
After Ba Di and Raven disembarked, the transport plane took off and disappeared into the night sky.
A black SUV had been waiting for a long time. It picked up Ba Di and Raven and drove on the dark highway in the suburbs. The headlights pierced the darkness like a bayonet, illuminating the desolate road.
The journey was peaceful and uneventful.
They returned to the laboratory of Cosmic Biotechnology Co., Ltd..
When finally, Ba Di's feet touched the door of the Cosmic Biotechnology Co., Ltd.., the gleaming marble floor and the polished walls made him feel a sharp, needle-like pain rising from the soles of his feet.
He could truly breathe a sigh of relief; the journey had been safe.
Now that the journey has been truly safe, the Codex of Life is practically a certainty, and there's not much left to hinder him.
He told the Raven to rest first, and then went straight down to the Negative Second Floor to begin extracting the Codex of Life.
Raven had no doubts. Although Ba Di had not promised the baby's life, she naturally assumed from Ba Di words that Ba Di would not harm the baby.
She believed in Ba Di.
The Negative Second Floor.
The white soft rubber flooring cushioned Ba Di's feet, providing a slight, less burning stinging sensation.
But he had no time to savor that comfort. His steps, on the white rubber floor, grew larger and faster with each stride.
The passion within me finally ignited.
His breathing was slightly rapid and forced, his heart was beating 10 percent faster than usual, and his eyes were filled with suppressed excitement.
His face was sharply defined, with a high nose bridge, a broad forehead, and eyes that held a calm excitement within. His thin, ruthless lips were tightly pressed together, causing his cheeks to bulge slightly, which made him appear even more rugged, with a sculpted beauty like that of a rock.
With broad shoulders and a slender, imposing figure, his body beneath the white trench coat evoked goosebumps, a sensation that mixed with a stinging pain, as if needles were piercing his skin from within.
His heart burned with passion, while his face remained outwardly calm and icy. He strode forward, his feet cutting through the cold mist like a knife or axe.
He stepped into an operating room that had already been prepared.
From the very beginning, when we acquired this Laboratory Building and moved in, we were already preparing for all of this.
Extract everything from the Codex of Life.
The Codex of Life is the gene pool of the entire Krypton, a record of all Krypton genes. Simply by integrating it into cells, it is enough to give Kryptonian vast and limitless potential for growth.
Note that this is similar to storage, integrating into the cell, not integrating into the genes and merging with all the genes of the cell to form a new genetic information gene sequence, becoming the owner of all the genes in the Codex of Life. In that case, it is impossible to extract it again at the gene level; it can only be used for research.
This is simply preserved within the cells, becoming a potential that is gradually unleashed later. That's why sometimes, Superman can even fight Kryptonian to a standstill, fighting fiercely, simply because the Codex of Life is stored within his body, not integrated with his genes and become one with them.
Ba Di had made some deep speculations about what kind of unity might be, and that it might be the infinitely evolving Doomsday body.
Every Krypton's genes are subtly different. Even though people created by Krypton may have the same talents, their temperaments, personalities, and everything else formed later in life, as well as the talents they display, are all different.
Just like the group of ten scientists created by Jor-El, only Jor-El was the most outstanding, far surpassing the others.
This unknown contributing factor, difficult to explain, has been analyzed by Krypton science as an evolutionary process in which consciousness and genes are intertwined.
This subtle evolutionary process is difficult for even Krypton scientists to explain.
Ancient scientists on Krypton attempted to truly understand the secrets of the physical genome. In an accident, they used the Krypton Codex to fuse everything and create a constantly evolving monster capable of adapting to anything.
However, despite extensive searches for Doomsday, Ba Di still couldn't find its whereabouts.
All I know is that to truly become an infinitely evolving body, one needs the Krypton Codex of Life, and the body's genes need to be liberated and integrated with all the Krypton genes to become a monster capable of continuous evolution.
Inside the operating room, the temperature is kept constant at around 15 degrees Celsius. A long, thin metal robotic arm hangs overhead, and all the surgical instruments around are different, clean, and gleam with a cold light.
In the center was a strange operating table, square, slightly larger than an infant, tilted slightly towards the center, with nearly 78,000 tiny holes on its surface, enough to allow any liquid to flow in little by little without wasting a single drop.
Ba Di held the swaddled baby in one hand, his face cold.
The moment Clark was taken out of his swaddling clothes and placed on the operating table, his eyes were devoid of any emotion, turning completely cold.
He reached out and, with a soft 'crack,' snapped his little neck.
The baby died in his sleep.
"This is unusual."
Ba Di narrowed his eyes slightly; this was unusual.
Clark was already fast asleep when he first saw him.
A question flashed through his mind, but he didn't delve too deeply into it, because no matter what, as long as he obtained the Codex of Life, he would be able to face any enemy.
The robotic arm overhead began operating under Ba Di's commands.
Clark's major arteries in his limbs, as well as his neck, were immediately bled out.
Blood, like a stream, flowed gently under the bright incandescent light, seeping into the small incision in the surgical field, where it was being collected.
Below, the base of the operating table glowed with a deep red light, indicating that testing was being conducted.
"Master, a large number of cells containing genetic information have been detected. The cell nuclei are loaded with different genetic information. Compared with the gene list of Krypton in the past, some of them match."
Unsurprisingly, this is the Codex of Life.
Ba Di nodded slightly, his eyes cold.
He watched silently as Clark bled, the blood draining from his body, his chubby little body gradually withering and shrinking, turning bluish-green, devoid of any blood, his skin clinging tightly to his bones, his eyes sunken, until he was a tiny skeleton.
All the blood has been released.
The Codex of Life is stored in the nucleus of blood cells. With each division, it is released little by little, unleashing the potential of genes, while remaining firmly in the blood cell nucleus. Therefore, by draining his blood, one can be 100% certain of obtaining the Codex of Life.
The rest is about extracting and restructuring the Codex of Life to suit Ba Di, integrating it into his cells, and after a period of adaptation and stabilization, he will be like Superman, possessing unlimited potential.
As for becoming Doomsday- like model, Ba Di has no clue yet.
"Destroy his brain tissue, extract his brain marrow and bone marrow, and use nano- Super Light Speed particle devices to detect them."
A sharp glint flashed in Ba Di's eyes. Ever since Death Knell, who had clearly died in front of him, without a heartbeat or breath, and was able to survive and reappear in front of him, he no longer dared to confirm someone's death based on the absence of breath and heartbeat.
Because this world is powerful in a way that is both reasonable and bizarre.
Following Ba Di's instructions, the robotic arm inserted syringes into the skull-shaped ears, sucking out the yellowish-white brain matter with a 'sizzling' sound. When it was pulled out, both syringes were full. The robotic arm then retracted into the air and moved straight away to preserve the brain matter in a cold storage.
Then it was done again, and some bone marrow was extracted.
"Can he still live like this?"
Ba Di's eyes were like torches as he stared at the shriveled little skeleton, its skin still attached to its bones, its head sunken in.
He didn't know.
Because this DC Universe is full of so many wonderful and bizarre things.
Flash a single time travel, Clark can be resurrected.
Someone collects his soul and can help him reshape his body.
The supreme deity said, "You live," and you lived.
This world has far too many things that could easily bring people back to life.
Even the Black Death Emperor's Black Lantern Ring can be considered a form of resurrection.
Ba Di pondered, his eyes darting around.
"Master, the Nanoscopic Superluminal Dimensional Wormhole Device is located in the second cervical vertebra, within the middle spinal cord. With our current scientific equipment, it is difficult to control and utilize."
Hera's synthesized voice came from one of the mechanical arms, with only one part of the bone marrow remaining to be extracted.
"No need for control. Mimic the solar energy into bone marrow and implant it into other bone marrow sites to increase the instability triggering of the Superluminal Dimensional Wormhole Device. As soon as this skeleton leaves the Negative Second Floor, it will detonate directly, triggering the Superluminal Dimensional Wormhole Device to go out of control and Destruction it."
Ba Di narrowed his eyes.
If this Superluminal Dimensional Wormhole Device goes out of control, the irregularities of photon motion tearing through space will be uncontrollable.
On Earth, at least Ba Di couldn't imagine any figure who could withstand such a sudden tearing apart of photons, because that's at the speed of light.
This is different from Jor-El's desire to stably tear open wormholes, which restricts the movement of Super Light Speed particles; this is unrestricted.
"If nothing happens in three days, then similarly, trigger the Destruction the Superluminal Dimensional Wormhole Device, making it disappear from the world."
