Another Method

At 9 AM, Lin Li worked out until he was drenched in sweat. He returned to his place to shower and then fried a large batch of eggs with vermicelli for breakfast.

Nowadays, he usually woke up at six, exercised, sensed magnetic lines, controlled magnetic fields, practiced with electrical energy, and engaged in basic training for three hours. The rest of his time was spent learning a vast amount of knowledge, and in the evenings, he would review everything, including anything related to Wells.

Cisco seemed to have a dog's nose. The moment Lin Li finished his fragrant scrambled eggs with vermicelli, Cisco was frantically knocking on his door.

"Lin Li, hurry up and open the door, I smell it."

Lin Li opened the door, and Cisco barged in.

He said with great relief, "This is perfect timing, Lin Li, you're the best. You made my favorite vermicelli, thank you so much. I won't be polite."

"What! This is my breakfast, go back and eat your Big Belly Burger."

Cisco ignored Lin Li's words, walked familiarly into the kitchen, grabbed a plate and fork, and dug into the large portion of scrambled eggs with vermicelli, taking more than half of it onto his own plate. He sat down and began to devour it.

Lin Li watched him with annoyance. He went to the refrigerator and poured two glasses of milk, handing one to Cisco.

As Cisco twirled his fork and ate, he pulled out a silver phone with no brand.

"Lin Li, this is a custom phone I made especially for you. It's shielded against magnetic interference, has insulated layers, and is heat-resistant. You can carry it with you without worry from now on. Most importantly, remember to notify me when you're eating. I've set up your contacts, and mine is the first one. Remember, you must notify me when you eat. Also, what color do you like?"

Lin Li looked at the phone as he spoke, "Black."

The phone was light, about the size of an iPhone 5. Inside, there were a few apps made by Cisco for communication and Facebook, and nothing else.

In less than three minutes, Cisco finished the scrambled eggs with vermicelli. He held his stomach, belched, and leisurely left Lin Li's place, looking very content.

The entire process, from his arrival to finishing his meal, took less than five minutes.

Ten minutes after Cisco left, Lin Li also finished his own breakfast. Just as he was washing the dishes, his phone rang.

"Lin Li, I was too focused on eating the vermicelli earlier and forgot to tell you, Dr. Wells is looking for you in the main control room."

After hanging up, Lin Li felt a bit confused. What did Wells want with him? He thought about it a lot but couldn't come up with anything.

A short while later, he arrived at the control room lobby.

Wells was adjusting satellite data on the main computer.

"Lin Li, you're here. Last night's meal was delicious. I'm looking forward to more."

Wells said with a reminiscent tone. Last night's meal had amazed him. For someone who considered burgers, pizza, and fries to be the pinnacle of life, Eastern cuisine was like a magical existence.

Lin Li replied, "We'll continue tonight. I'll be cooking every night from now on, but tonight you'll need to learn how to use chopsticks."

Wells's eyes lit up, "Oh, great! Then I'll have to practice using chopsticks diligently during the day. I don't want to miss out on delicious food."

Caitlin happened to walk into the control room lobby, "I can't pretend I didn't hear that. You know, I absolutely detest employees bribing their superiors, especially with food."

"Alright, Caitlin, you should also practice using chopsticks diligently, otherwise, you won't get to enjoy the delicious food tonight."

"OK, I'll go buy chopsticks and practice right away."

Caitlin gave a smug smile, took a document, and left the control room lobby.

Wells watched Caitlin leave the control room lobby with a full smile.

"Lin Li, ever since you arrived, Caitlin smiles a lot more than before."

Lin Li disagreed, "Really? I don't think so. Dr. Wells, what did you want to see me about?"

Wells seemed to suddenly remember, "I was so focused on the food that I forgot about business."

Wells took out a USB drive and handed it to Lin Li, saying, "In 1951, an alien spacecraft crashed in Redmond, Oregon. The U.S. government obtained a lot of data from studying the ship. I recently managed to decipher some of the alien encrypted data. It's research material concerning the creation and stabilization of warped wormholes using a newborn singularity, and it might be able to help you."

"The information here could potentially fulfill your wish. The most difficult part, I believe, is creating a newborn singularity. However, singularities are uncontrollable. Once an accretion disk forms, it will destroy this world. Therefore, I envision that for the formation of a newborn singularity, we can use negative mass to neutralize the singularity's gravitational field and stabilize the wormhole. As long as you can pinpoint your world of origin, create a wormhole, and travel back the instant it appears, then unleash a high-energy burst on the singularity's gravitational field to destabilize and dissipate everything, you can return to your world safely without destroying it due to the formation of a black hole."

Lin Li took the USB drive with shock. This was Wells's suggestion to him. But little did he know, Lin Li, who was familiar with the plot, understood that if things went according to this plan, there would be a singularity, a wormhole, at the end of the first season. Eddie's suicide would cause Wells to be erased from time, leading to the appearance of a singularity and a black hole.

Lin Li could use this black hole to open a wormhole and return to his real world.

This idea had a high chance of being realized.

Dr. Wells shook his head and said with a wry smile, "But unfortunately, the black holes created by human technology aren't real black holes. These artificial black holes lack sufficient gravity and, apart from sound, cannot 'swallow everything around them' like real black holes. They only exhibit black hole properties towards acoustic phenomena. Such black holes cannot be used to open stable wormholes."

Wells sneered inwardly. This was the true method of time travel. The USB drive he gave Lin Li contained deliberately altered and incorrect information, but the general theoretical direction was correct. It would just take a very, very long time to verify. In this 'primitive era' of the 20th century, it would take at least another hundred and fifty years to truly create a usable singularity.

Lin Li was so moved that tears welled up in his eyes. He clasped Dr. Wells's hand tightly.

"Dr. Wells, thank you so much."

Lin Li was genuinely touched. While current technology couldn't create a real black hole, the fact that Eddie's suicide in the first season's finale and Wells's erasure would cause a black hole to appear made everything possible. How could Lin Li not be moved? He was so touched he was practically crying. Reverse-Flash sacrificing himself was so moving. Reverse-Flash is great, Reverse-Flash is the best!

It was time for their mutual acting performance.

Dr. Wells said emotionally, "The explosion of the particle accelerator that brought you here also has my responsibility. I hope this information will be helpful for your journey home."

The two were deeply moving each other with their performances until Barry arrived.

Barry looked at Wells with an unnatural expression and said, "Dr. Wells, I need Lin Li's help."
