Barry's Awakening

In the morning, Caitlin first took Lin Li's urine and feces for examination.

Lin Li, meanwhile, lay on the hospital bed, holding a tablet and absorbing knowledge. Just a moment ago, he had asked Cisco for several textbooks on space, black holes, the human body, and electricity, ranging from basic to advanced. Of course, Cisco was also surprised by how quickly Lin Li had learned English.

He couldn't just place all his hope on Professor Wells or Vibe; he had to learn some knowledge about space himself to increase his chances of returning home.

"Hey, Blackout, put down the tablet. We're going to check your brain."

Cisco said cautiously, "Lightning?"

Lin Li felt this was acceptable. He wasn't worried about stealing Barry's Flash title because he had no intention of becoming a hero.

Cisco was satisfied. "Great, Lightning. This is so exciting. I can't believe I'm befriending someone from another world. This feels amazing."

"Me too,"

Lin Li said with a smile. He thought, You'll have many more otherworldly friends soon.

As Caitlin, finished with the urine test, came over, they officially began the brain examination. Of course, Dr. Wells watched from the side, remaining silent, but his eyes flickered when he heard the word 'Lightning.'

They subsequently completed various tests, including MRI, PET scans, CT scans, EEGs, and cranial MRIs.

Cisco said in surprise, "Why? My friend from another world, you don't have a brain?"

The instrument's screen displayed a black outline of a head, with no normal display of the brain's sulci and gyri.

"This isn't normal."

Caitlin initially thought it was an instrument malfunction. Later, she tested it with Cisco and found no issues. After multiple conclusions, they tentatively determined that people from other worlds had black heads.

How is that possible? Lin Li rolled his eyes.

"Caitlin, check for energy signals," Dr. Wells suggested. This transmigrator was very interesting.

Shortly after, Caitlin detected, "Dr. Wells, Lin Li's brain does indeed show an energy wavelength, a signal distinct from his own brainwaves."

Dr. Wells squinted, looking at the spectrum. He suspected Lin Li had gained access to the Speed Force. This spectral wavelength bore some extreme similarities to the Speed Force, and Dr. Wells's research into the Speed Force was very profound.

The Speed Force manifested as lightning and had certain similarities to electricity. He still hadn't dared to fully confirm if the Speed Force was within Lin Li.

In the end, the group didn't discuss why Lin Li's brain was black.

Dr. Wells put this examination aside for now.

"Let's check other aspects of the body first..."

Caitlin directly took a needle and injected it into Lin Li's arm.

Unintentionally, Lin Li seemed to sense danger. His cells surged, and his muscles contracted. Before the needle could even enter his vein, it bent, unable to penetrate.

This once again shocked the group.

Caitlin switched to another needle and patted Lin Li's arm.

With difficulty, she inserted the needle into a vein and drew blood, which astonished them again.

The blood in the syringe shimmered like stars, emitting a faint, silvery glow. The entire tube of red liquid was interspersed with silvery light, looking incredibly mystical and beautiful.

"My goodness..."

The group stared at the vein in shock. No matter how they looked at it, this didn't look human.

When the blood left Lin Li's body, he felt the blood in the syringe agitating, desperately wanting to return to its source. Lin Li felt that he could control his cells, a very real sensation. He suppressed his feelings, transmitting a message of quiet and calm to his cells, and the cells within the vein genuinely stopped agitating, becoming still. The silvery glow dimmed considerably, yet a connection to Lin Li remained.

I can control the cells in my body, Lin Li realized with a jolt.

He didn't mention any of this. He felt too strange, too strange from being struck by lightning.

While waiting for the blood test results, they also performed an electrocardiogram, ultrasound, color Doppler ultrasound, X-ray, infrared fluoroscopy, bone density test, neurological examination...

Suddenly, a phantom appeared in the STAR Labs laboratory, stirring up a gust of wind with yellow electrical arcs, scattering paper documents everywhere.

"What's happening to me? I'm running super fast, and everyone around me is frozen."

Barry Allen spread his hands, asking in surprise and confusion.

In the morning, when Barry woke up, he felt like the whole world had stopped. Joe was frozen mid-sip of his coffee, the cars outside the window were still, the birds in the sky were motionless. It was incredibly sudden, everything had stopped, and it terrified him.

Then, just as suddenly, everything started moving again, returning to normal. This frightened him even more.

When he tried to save a Garfield cat falling from a tree, he accidentally ran too fast and crashed into a tree. He was surprised, confused, and had mastered super speed. It was all so incredibly cool, speed beyond anything.

Finally, he ran to STAR Labs to find the reason for his transformation.

"You're a metahuman too? Super speed? Time stopping?"

Cisco asked. Barry being a metahuman didn't surprise him, after all, the same lightning strike hit two people, and there was an even more miraculous visitor from another world here.

Caitlin said seriously, "According to human limit values, the limit speed is 9 meters per second."

Barry didn't reply. He became a blur, leaving behind a few yellow arcs of electricity, and vanished from sight.

The others looked at each other, all feeling surprised. That speed looked pretty fast, faster than the eye could follow.

Before they could discuss it, they felt a blur flash by again, and a soft-serve ice cream cone appeared in their hands.

Lin Li had been looking at a tablet, studying everything about black holes and space. He had spent the entire morning reviewing and learning.

Barry arrived and just watched him without speaking. But within three to four seconds, Lin Li felt a soft-serve cone appear in his hand. He was a bit bewildered. He didn't know how far away the place to buy ice cream was, and it was certainly impossible to get it from STAR Labs. STAR Labs was quite large; it would take a normal person seven to eight minutes to walk out and buy an ice cream cone.

Therefore, Lin Li was a little stunned. This speed was too fast.
