Clayde, a Rank 9 Warrior, was much stronger than Patterson, a Rank 7 Warrior.
He endured Hogg's abuse for over an hour before finally drawing his last breath.
Hillman went to deal with the body, while Linley and Hogg returned to the sitting room in the front courtyard.
"Father, you should leave the Fenlai Kingdom for the O'Brien Empire in a few days." Linley looked at Hogg seriously. "I've reached Saint-level now. Even if the Radiant Church's people surround me, I can still escape. As long as you're not here, I'll be safe."
Linley's words left Hogg silent for a moment.
"I understand." Hogg's voice was still hoarse. "In a few days, Hillman's family, Hiri, Wharton, and I will all leave."
Hearing Hogg say this, Linley felt relieved.
As long as his family wasn't here, Linley wouldn't have anything to worry about or guard against.
"It's getting late." Hogg got to his feet and let out a long breath. "Go get some rest. I'll have Hillman make preparations over the next few days."
With that, Hogg left the sitting room.
When Linley stepped outside, the cold air brought him back to his senses.
Snowflakes drifted down from the sky.
It was snowing.
He had gotten rid of Clayde, only to learn that the Radiant Church was an even greater enemy.
For Linley, this was bad news.
Fortunately, given Linley's current strength and rate of growth, the Radiant Church was no longer a threat.
Still, Linley had only reached Saint-level Peak.
He had no idea how many Saint-level experts the Radiant Church had, or how many of them were at Saint-level Peak.
So until he reached Saint-level Limit—or even God-level—Linley wasn't going to recklessly seek revenge on the Radiant Church.
Back in his room, Linley began his usual meditation and cultivation.
