At the northernmost end of the Magical Beast Mountain Range, near the North Sea.
As the sun set, a group of people emerged from the mountains.
There were more than ten of them. Leading the group was a young man nearly six feet tall, with a palm-sized mouse perched on his left shoulder and a palm-sized ape on his right.
Behind him were more than ten men and women, all hurrying along.
"So this is the ocean!" Hogg gazed at the distant sea, his voice full of emotion. "It's my first time seeing the ocean."
"Yeah!" Hillman, standing nearby, was equally moved. "I never thought I'd live to see the ocean."
"Father, Uncle Hillman." Linley smiled and turned back. "We should hurry to the imperial capital. Let's buy a residence first, then we can talk."
Hogg and Hillman nodded repeatedly at Linley's suggestion.
It was already nearly evening, and there wasn't another soul near the Magical Beast Mountain Range.
They had spent nearly a day traveling. Even though they had ridden on Oliver's back the whole way, the journey of nearly ten thousand miles had left everyone somewhat exhausted.
"Let's rest here and get something to eat," Linley said, looking toward the winding road ahead. "We'll set off tonight and make it all the way to the imperial capital in one go."
As he spoke, Linley took pots, bowls, and food from his Space Ring.
Hiri and Hillman's wife and daughter stepped forward to wash the dishes and start cooking.
"This road connects the Holy Alliance and the O'Brien Empire," Hogg said, sitting by the roadside and pointing at the path in front of them. "But although it skirts the Magical Beast Mountain Range, it's so long that it would take at least a year or two to travel the
