"Switch the feed to their landing craft!" the Winged Race captain ordered.
Although the battle was going smoothly, he still refused to let his guard down.
The feed quickly switched, and everyone from Twin Stars stared in surprise at the Pufferfish Landing Ship, which was circling around as though still searching for a suitable landing site.
"They still haven't landed? What are they looking for?" the Sea Race captain asked in confusion.
"Bring up the surrounding terrain!" the Winged Race captain ordered after a moment's thought.
A detailed topographic map soon appeared before them, and everyone nearly burst out laughing.
For hundreds of kilometers around the landing ship, the terrain consisted entirely of extremely complex hills. Not only were there almost no flat areas, but deposits of spaceborne material and geological shifts had also left countless caves of all sizes and jagged, rocky obstacles scattered everywhere.
In terrain like this, never mind deploying a base-even finding a suitable landing site would be difficult.
Then they saw the landing craft apparently grow impatient after spending so long without finding a suitable place to touch down. When it finally discovered a slightly flatter spot, one that anyone could tell was utterly unsuitable for developing a base, it desperately settled for it and descended.
"That's... their luck really is terrible, isn't it? Wait, that location..." The Sea Race captain sounded rather gleeful at their misfortune, but once he got a clear look at the terrain map of that spot, his eyes immediately widened in astonishment.
On the projected map, directly beneath the landing craft's touchdown point, lay an enormous underground cavity, seemingly a geological formation resembling a karst cave.
Sure enough, the bloated, bulky landing craft had barely landed and shut off its thrusters before its clearly excessive weight pressed a web of
