In a mountainous region bristling with jagged rocks, a robot unit nearly fifty strong was on the march.
With a Multi-Legged Self-Propelled Laser Turret at its core and two Ant Transport Vehicles providing supporting fire, they formed a small defensive formation. Five scouts stood watch over a hundred meters away, while a drone circled overhead.
"Everyone, stay alert. We're probably approaching the perimeter of their base. Keep your guard up! Drone and reconnaissance teams, expand your search radius!" the squad leader said over the internal channel.
This was the Iron Heart squad of the Personal Guard Corps, renowned for fighting fiercely and excelling at frontal breakthroughs.
"Beep, beep! Large enemy force approaching. Threat level: extreme! System recommendation: run!" A system alert suddenly rang out in everyone's minds, while the enemy's position appeared on their radar.
Everyone froze in surprise. Then a scout up ahead shouted frantically over the channel, "Look at the drone feed!"
They immediately switched views and saw a black tide suddenly spreading across an open stretch of ground in the distance!
The view zoomed in, revealing countless Hounds racing low to the ground, their eyes blood-red. There were no roars, but the silent pressure swept over everyone like a tidal wave!
In the sky, a flying saucer nearly ten meters across followed at a distance. Clearly, this had to be the enemy's Frontline Commander!
The squad leader checked the distance between the two sides and instantly assessed the situation. He could not help smiling bitterly. Run? With a target this big, how were we supposed to run?
He was not one to hesitate and quickly made his decision.
"All Stealth Type V2s and noncombat support personnel, scatter and retreat immediately! Once you're clear, find somewhere to cloak and hide. Avoid moving if possible!
