The Twin Stars aircraft had clearly spotted the enemies here as well and charged toward the Sword Immortal Mech at the front in a triangular assault formation.
"Enemy aircraft within attack range. Activating the Sword-Controlling System!"
Hiss, hiss, hiss! The five oddly shaped sword weapons on the Sword Immortal Mech's back immediately shot out of their sheaths with a metallic clang, propelled by electromagnetic launchers.
A strange magnetic field enveloped the Mecha, controlling five spindle-shaped "longswords," narrow at the front and broad at the rear. As though under the influence of the Sword-Controlling Art, they hovered in a ring behind the Mecha's head, slowly rotating.
Magnetic Floating Cannons!
The scientists had installed a Magnetic Control System inside the Mecha, and the five spindle-shaped "longswords" mounted on its back were precisely that: magnetic Floating Cannons forged from strongly magnetic materials!
These weapons drew on the Twin Stars' Directional Magnetic Control Technology. Combined with atomic-scale magnetized material and high-precision laser output lenses personally crafted by the Mechanical Insects, the Floating Cannons boasted power and range approaching half that of a warship's secondary guns.
Not only that, the Floating Cannons' casings used specially made, high-precision mirror-reflective armor, granting them a degree of immunity to laser attacks!
"Cool!" Lancelot shouted excitedly. The targeting boxes of the automatic fire-control system in his vision shifted rapidly, locking onto enemy aircraft! With a flick of his finger, he issued the firing command!
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Beams of red, high-energy laser light shot from the tips of the spindle-shaped "longswords," immediately followed by another volley!
