"Beep, beep!" A patrolling Twin Stars security robot turned toward the nearby jungle, red lights flickering in its eyes.
The Twin Stars base had infrasound repulsion devices installed. Under normal circumstances, no wild animals would dare approach it.
Rustle, rustle, rustle! The strange sound came again.
Clank, clank... The robot raised its Electromagnetic Rifle and walked toward the source.
The four patrol robots behind it raised their weapons in unison, all aiming at the same spot.
After Rose's earlier attack on the Twin Stars base where Nie Yun was stationed, every base had raised its alert level, tightening security until hardly anything could slip through.
Clank, clank... The robot strode mechanically into the dense undergrowth and searched its surroundings, the various spectral detectors in its electronic eyes scanning at full power.
Just then, the bark on a nearby tree trunk writhed unnaturally. A grayish-white figure, almost the same color as the trunk, suddenly pounced down.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Seeing their companion attacked, the other four patrol robots pulled their triggers without hesitation. Wood chips flew and dirt and stones scattered around the attacker's position.
Clang, clang, clang! After a series of metallic impacts, the unfortunate patrol robot was caught in the crossfire too, its body riddled with holes by the dense barrage of high-speed bullets!
"Hiss..." After a low cry of pain, everything inside fell silent.
Just as the robots were about to enter the jungle to check the results, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Seven or eight dark shapes sprang out of the undergrowth, moving as fast as lightning!
