A massive demon, its body covered in hard armor, trusted in its thick hide and tough flesh. Roaring, it charged straight at him from the front, trying to use brute force to stop this "humanoid tank."
But Mo Wang's forward momentum did not slow in the slightest. Facing the demon crashing toward him like a war chariot, he simply drew back his gun, twisted his waist, and threw a punch!
Bang—!
A dull impact rang out, accompanied by the grating sound of bones shattering.
The demon's proudly hardened skull was like porcelain struck by a ten-thousand-ton hammer. It caved in, warped, then burst apart entirely in an instant! Its huge headless body rushed a few more steps forward on sheer inertia before crashing to the ground with a boom, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Mo Wang shook the demon blood and brain matter from his fist, the fury in his eyes not diminishing in the slightest—only burning hotter. "Vergil! You just wait! You tore down my house, huh? Then today I'm tearing down this lousy tower of yours!"
When he finally reached a relatively open hall at the base of the tower in that utterly unreasonable fashion, a cold, powerful aura locked onto him.
At the center of the hall stood a tall, gaunt demon draped in a tattered black robe.
It held an enormous soul scythe. The exposed parts of its body were pure white bone, and ghostly blue soul fire burned in its eye sockets, making it look just like the Grim Reaper of legend.
It seemed to be preparing to deliver some opening speech—perhaps to pronounce death, perhaps to display its majesty. Its scythe lifted slightly, its jawbone opened, and a hoarse voice mixed with mental fluctuations was about to emerge:
"Intruder, thy soul..."
"Shut up!"
