Aevum frowned, clearly displeased. "What do you mean? That's my real name."
The receptionist stared blankly at him, then at the group of companions behind him who were obviously dressed as Nameless, feeling like his nerves were on the verge of snapping. "B-but... isn't Aevum... the great Aeon of Trailblaze? This, this name overlap..."
"No, no, no." Aevum waved his hands repeatedly, wearing an expression that said, You really haven't seen much of the world. "The universe is so big. Is having the same name that strange? I just happen to share a name with that great Aeon of Trailblaze. Don't overthink it."
It's hard not to overthink it! the receptionist screamed internally.
The name Aevum, combined with their obvious Nameless attire, plus the recent rumors that the Aeon of Trailblaze had supposedly been resurrected... There were way too many coincidences here?!
He felt like he was about to suffocate. His powerful instinct for professional self-preservation drove him to make a decision.
"O-okay! Mr. Aevum! No problem! I'll register you right away!" He practically shouted the words, his fingers flying across the control screen. He completed every registration procedure at the fastest speed of his life, then handed over several exquisite room cards with both hands. "Your rooms are ready! I hope you and your friends enjoy your stay!"
Watching this group of clearly extraordinary guests follow the attendant toward the elevator, the receptionist abruptly slumped into his chair and gasped for air.
With trembling hands, he opened the internal employee system and submitted a leave request without hesitation.
Leave duration: One year.
Reason? His fingers shook as he typed a line: "Acute cosmic-level nervous breakdown. Urgent long-term recuperation required."
He couldn't stay in this damned place for even one more day! He was running the moment work ended today!
