"Tell me, Simu, where are we going? Can't we just kill someone for fun?" Hidan asked, slouching with his arms dangling, his voice devoid of energy.
They had been away from the Jashin Cult headquarters for five days, spending every day wandering through the woods.
Whenever they were hungry, Simu would make Hidan go hunting or catch fish.
Although Hidan had been quite excited at first, running around like a Siberian husky, he had grown bored by the second day.
Facing Hidan's question, Simu adjusted his glasses and said indifferently, "Don't worry, you'll be able to do what you like soon enough."
"Really?"
Hidan's eyes lit up instantly.
The thing he liked doing most?
Wasn't that just hacking people up!
Simu stepped forward slowly and suddenly stopped in front of a large tree.
"After all, I'm not the kind of pervert who likes being followed."
He adjusted his glasses and raised his foot, aiming it at the giant tree before him.
Hidan watched this scene with a blank expression, his brain completely unable to process what Simu was doing.
Just as Simu's attack was about to land, the ground beneath his feet suddenly turned into mud.
"So you finally appeared, huh?"
The corners of Simu's mouth curled up slightly.
In the next second, a figure emerged from the muddy soil, holding a long blade and thrusting it precisely toward Simu's heart.
"Oh? An enemy has actually appeared?"
Hidan perked up the moment the incident occurred. He swung the Three-Moon Blood Scythe in his hand, and it extended like a long snake, the sharp crescent blade passing over Simu to pierce the attacker's back like the fangs of a fierce tiger!
Blood spread rapidly across the muddy ground.
"Damn it..."
Several more figures emerged, all wearing plate armor, vaguely surrounding Simu and Hidan.
"This is the base of Lord Orochimaru. Trespassers will die!"
The leader shouted coldly at Simu and Hidan, seemingly attempting to drive the two away.
However, he was clearly overthinking it; such a threat couldn't stir even the slightest ripple in Simu's heart.
"Hidan, I'll leave these guys to you."
Simu waved his hand and finally brought his raised foot down.
"Boom!"
The giant tree in front of him and the ground beneath it shattered simultaneously, revealing an entrance hidden inside.
Without a second thought, Simu leaped straight into it.
As for Hidan, he hoisted the Three-Moon Blood Scythe onto his shoulder and stuck out his tongue to lick his lips.
"Trespassers will die, huh?"
He looked at the six ninjas surrounding him with a playful expression and said with a grin, "Too bad, the thing I fear the least is death!"
Seeing Hidan's manic expression, the six men's faces immediately turned grave.
"You guys take care of this guy; I'll go chase that one. We absolutely cannot let him destroy Lord Orochimaru's things."
The leader made arrangements quickly.
"Yes."
After giving the order, the leader moved swiftly, using a Body Flicker Technique to head straight for the entrance.
"If I let you get inside, I'll be mocked by that guy~"
Hidan's mocking voice came, followed immediately by the violent, rapid sound of air being torn apart!
The Three-Moon Blood Scythe was elongated once again, tearing through the air with simple, brutal force as it slashed toward the enemy.
The subordinate of Orochimaru turned pale and hurriedly formed hand seals.
"Earth Style, Earth Spear Technique!"
His skin rapidly petrified, becoming as hard as rock.
But this still couldn't withstand such a terrifying blow from Hidan. Almost the moment they made contact, the immense power bit into him like a terrifying beast, cutting him in half at the waist!
Before dying, the ninja's face was still filled with deep unwillingness and disbelief.
Hidan pulled his hand, and the elongated Three-Moon Blood Scythe retracted rapidly, returning to his grip.
The Three-Moon Blood Scythe, forged from Koukaku, trembled slightly as it was nourished by the blood, seemingly cheering and leaping with joy.
Hidan stuck out his tongue, tasted a drop of blood on the corner of his mouth, and smiled. "Now it's your turn. Are you ready... to be sacrificed to Lord Jashin?!"
The sounds of fighting and wailing coming from behind and above did not affect Simu in the slightest.
If that trash Hidan could still get himself killed by a few of Orochimaru's subordinates while possessing an Immortal Body, five elemental ninjutsu, and multiple Kagune, then Simu could only say he deserved it.
But that was clearly impossible.
As Simu descended, this dark passage hidden deep underground finally revealed itself before his eyes.
The walls and floor of the passage were inscribed with converging curved patterns, and the darkness shrouded everything in the unknown.
"Playing god."
Simu's expression remained unchanged as he lifted his foot and walked directly into the passage.
At this moment, a gust of cold wind struck.
"My lord, are you truly determined to make an enemy of Lord Orochimaru?"
A female voice came from the darkness, carrying a hint of timidity, but more so a warning.
"If you leave now, I can plead for mercy on your behalf before Lord Orochimaru."
"Heh..."
Hearing this, Simu couldn't help but laugh out loud.
He had always considered himself a professional, someone who wouldn't laugh no matter how funny a situation was, but he hadn't expected...
"I am actually quite interested in that guy Orochimaru's technique for raising dogs."
With that, eight crimson Rinkaku struck through the darkness like lightning.
Blood splattered.
The female voice in the darkness let out a scream as her hands and feet were pierced through by the Rinkaku.
"Ho... how is this possible..."
She opened her mouth, confused; she had clearly made a dodging motion just now, so why hadn't her body moved?
"If you were trying to dodge, my bugs might not have agreed with that."
A faint light turned into a cold hue on Simu's lenses.
The woman, having been reminded, hurriedly looked down at her feet.
Without her realizing it, her feet had been completely covered by a dense swarm of black bugs.
These bugs were tiny, like fine iron sand, but their combined weight was enough to keep her feet from moving.
And because of the darkness, she hadn't noticed these bugs, which had blended perfectly into the shadows.
"No... don't..."
Her eyes widened to the extreme in the darkness, then contracted.
A sensation like an electric shock spread from her feet upward, covering her entire body, before burrowing into her flesh through every available opening.
"Ah!!!"
A heart-wrenching wail didn't travel far before it came to an abrupt end, as her open mouth was also filled with bugs.
"Lady Xianai..."
In the darkness, more figures watched this scene, their faces filled with disbelief.
After all, Xianai was almost the strongest among all the test subjects in this base.
Yet even she had no power to resist before this man!
Sensing those presences in the darkness, Simu gently adjusted his glasses and said indifferently, "Since you all like watching the show so much, I'll let you experience the joy of the bugs as well."
His gaze was as calm as water, yet the darkness suddenly erupted; countless bugs, like a tsunami, filled and packed the entire passage in an instant!
Only the desperate, vacant faces remained in the darkness.
The swarm slowly dispersed, and Simu walked straight into the base.
"If Orochimaru's base is only at this level, then I am truly disappointed."
To be honest, Orochimaru was the first and only person Simu had seen in this world so far who had the ambition to pursue the truth.
Therefore, he had used Raven and Black Beetle, spending several months to finally discover a few of Orochimaru's bases.
If these were the only works he had to show, it would be a great pity.
"Don't disappoint me, Orochimaru."
