[We wish you a pleasant game]
The moment he finished his afternoon sword training, Noah clearly heard the voice echoing from above his head.
He frowned, ignored it, pulled his white coat down from the corner of the wall, slung it over his shoulder, and stepped out of the Marineford elite recruit training grounds.
It was near dusk.
On the tree-lined path leading to the cafeteria, there were many other Marine soldiers like him who had just finished training, gathered together chatting and laughing, their faces young and full of enthusiasm.
Noah walked alone under the trees. He had tried his best to keep a low profile, but he was still like a Hotarubi in the dark, quite eye-catching in the crowd.
His six-foot-five frame was lean and upright. Beneath his medium-length black hair, his handsome yet masculine face and his bronze, bare upper body—covered in scars—exuded a charming aura like the warm winter sun, amplified by the sweat and hormones.
The proportion of female Marines at headquarters was not high, but there were still quite a few.
Many young girls cast glances his way from time to time. His handsome face, half-hidden in the dappled light and shadow of the trees, left them mesmerized. Occasionally, if they accidentally made eye contact with Noah for a split second, they would blush and turn their heads away like startled rabbits.
Same old boring daily routine...
Noah was long used to those admiring gazes hidden in the crowd. He acted as if nothing were amiss, while his mind replayed the voice that had just sounded in his head.
Isn't it a bit excessive to awaken a system only now?
Noah, who had transmigrated into this world nineteen years ago, was born in 1482 of the Sea Circle Calendar to an ordinary family in the East Blue's 16th Branch.
His father was a captain at the base, and his mother worked hard, tending to an orange grove.
Because he had shown superior physical constitution since childhood, his strict father had placed high hopes on him, training and grooming him in the hope that he would one day enter the Marine headquarters and become a remarkable figure like the Marine hero Garp.
Back when he was just a brat, panting from exhaustion during drills, Noah had fantasized countless times about a transmigrator's perk falling from the sky, like a "Strongest Marine System" or a "Wind Swordsman Legacy System," to help him get through those grueling days.
Unfortunately, such a simple and naive wish never came true, not even a year ago when he was picked by Garp, who happened to be passing by, and brought to Marineford to become a member of the elite training camp.
He had no choice but to give up on that wishful thinking and completely abandon the idea.
And now, the system suddenly shows up. Setting aside whether it's too late or not, what is up with this bizarre name—Love Cell Cultivation System?
Who are you looking down on?
He, Noah, is no fool in love!
Although Noah hadn't really dated anyone seriously yet, his outstanding looks were a given. Besides, he had a beautiful childhood sweetheart back home; they had grown up together, and their emotional foundation was quite solid.
Destined to have a relationship that others would envy in the future, did he really need this kind of thing?
Before he knew it, he had reached the end of the tree-lined path.
Noah entered the cafeteria, and the enticing aroma of food rushed into his nostrils, instantly making him forget everything else. He grabbed his tray and prepared to join the long queue.
The training program at the elite camp was very demanding; he had already been starving before he even left the training grounds.
After spending a few minutes getting his food, Noah found a quiet table in the corner and sat down. Before he could take two bites, two figures arrived with their own trays and sat down on the stools opposite him with great familiarity.
On the left was a burly young man with a cigarette dangling from his lips and slightly drooping eyelids; his features looked somewhat sharp and sinister.
On the right was a tall, thin, blonde boy with quite delicate features, though he looked perpetually distressed. Not long after sitting down, he let out several long sighs.
"Hey, this is a cafeteria, Shiryu! How many times do I have to tell you, at least put out the cigarette while you're eating!"
Noah glared at the burly youth in annoyance, then looked at the blonde boy and teased with a smile, "What happened, little Rosinante? Why are you sighing as soon as you sit down?"
Shiryu, Rosinante.
Both were friends who had joined the elite training camp around the same time as him. One was four years older than him, and the other was a year younger. After going through thick and thin together over the past year, their friendship had grown deep.
"It's about the recent assessment."
Shiryu, sitting to the side, stubbed out his cigarette and curled his lip. "Last month, because this guy's performance in the Six Powers was poor, he only got fifteenth place in the overall assessment. He cried like a baby and even bragged in front of Mr. Zephyr that he would definitely make it into the top ten this month."
"As it turns out, he hasn't made any progress in his Six Powers training lately. With the assessment coming up the day after tomorrow, he's lost his confidence again."
"I... I didn't cry!"
Rosinante's face flushed red. "And you, Shiryu, didn't you complain just a few days ago that Instructor Zephyr was teaching too fast and you couldn't keep up with the Six Powers? Are you so confident about the assessment the day after tomorrow?"
"Then I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you."
Shiryu glanced at him sideways, calmly stuffing a rice ball into his mouth and chewing it slowly.
"I spent some time pondering it the day before yesterday and accidentally figured out Geppo and Soru. Dealing with the assessment and taking first or second place shouldn't be a problem."
"Eh?" Rosinante was stunned for a moment. "You actually learned them all? I'm still missing Kami-e; I'm not very proficient with it yet..."
Noah ate his meal in silence, sighing inwardly to himself.
These two guys, they're great in every way, but every now and then they'll say something outrageous in such a nonchalant tone that it's truly enviable and infuriating—it makes you want to pin them to the ground and beat them to a pulp.
What was my ranking in last month's assessment again?
Fifty-sixth, or was it fifty-seventh?
Noah couldn't quite remember. Regardless, there were just over two hundred people in the same intake at the headquarters elite camp, and he had been stuck between fiftieth and sixtieth place ever since he arrived, stable as could be.
Although, generally speaking, he was barely holding his own in the upper-middle tier, compared to these two, especially Shiryu who had long been firmly entrenched in the top few, he was completely incomparable.
Noah knew his own physical fitness was far beyond the average person. Back in his hometown at Branch 16 in the East Blue, almost no one his age could compare to him, but this was the Marine Headquarters, where geniuses gathered—there were simply too many monsters here.
The world has never been fair, and this ocean even less so. Extreme examples like Big Mom possessed combat power in their childhood that was already a finish line most people couldn't reach in a lifetime.
Noah's parents were both ordinary people with average talent. Since entering the headquarters, he had relied on his terrifying self-discipline, performing hellish extra training every single day, so reaching his current level was already no small feat.
As for closing the gap between himself and these geniuses at the starting line, aside from those powerful Devil Fruits, it seemed the only path left was to rely on the system—to cheat, that is.
However, the thing he had waited so long for wasn't exactly a serious system...
Taking advantage of a break during his meal, Noah tried to open the system's attribute panel with his mind. A translucent panel emitting a pale blue glow instantly appeared before him.
[Name: Romanov Norsha] [Age: 19] [Strength: 7] [Agility: 6] [Stamina: 9] [Intelligence: 8] [Charisma: 10] [Current Points: 1501 (Welcome Gift)] [Skills: Two-Sword Style (Beginner), Rokushiki (Novice), Firearms (Beginner), Combat (Novice), Self-Discipline (Master)]
There was a note at the bottom stating that the average value for an elite Marine soldier was five points.
Looking at it this way, aside from his Charisma being predictably high, his other basic physical stats were quite average, especially Agility, which was only one point higher than the average.
But as a member of the elite camp, Noah's actual combat power was far superior to that of an ordinary soldier. In a pure brawl, he estimated he could handle a dozen people at once without issue.
Clearly, the calculation of attribute points wasn't as simple as basic addition or subtraction; it likely followed some kind of exponential function. The higher the stat, the greater the gap in strength represented by each additional point.
As for his skills...
Noah's gaze swept over his list of pathetic skills, and for a moment, he was speechless. He truly hadn't expected the system's judgment to be this harsh.
If nothing else, he felt he had practiced his marksmanship quite well, yet it was only rated as Beginner. Rokushiki and Combat were even worse, judged as the lowest tier: Novice.
The rating for "Self-Discipline" was ridiculously high, but could that even count as a skill?
Noah silently picked up his soup bowl and downed the hot borscht in one go.
As of now, the system seemed normal enough, but Noah hadn't forgotten that bizarre name.
Holding a wary attitude, he searched around the bottom of the attribute panel and finally managed to click a button, opening a secondary page detailing the rules and regulations.

There were many other fragmented rules below, but the focus was on the front, and Noah quickly finished reading them all.
He ignored the first rule, which was full of things to complain about, and after pondering these regulations in his heart several times, he opened the shop button on the right side of the system panel.
The interface was simple and clear, with no need to turn pages; only six items were displayed on the shop panel.
