This year's graduation combat assessment ended in a scene so absurd it was almost ridiculous.

Behind Noah stood numerous dispirited rear admirals and commodores, along with a large group of recruits who had yet to recover from their shock.

"A total of 1,230 chips, for an accumulated score of 37,500!"

That was the final tally, a full ten thousand points higher than the combined scores of all the other recruits.

An unprecedented result.

After a brief discussion, an examiner stepped forward and announced on the spot that Noah had taken first place in this graduation assessment. The detailed rankings for everyone else would be evaluated and released after the warship returned to Marine Headquarters.

Declaring the first-place winner in advance did not actually conform to the usual procedures for graduation assessments. If it had been anyone else, the prospective graduates would have already raised a clamorous protest.

Not long after disembarking from the warship and leaving the docks, Noah received a notice from his superiors. His graduation assessment had officially been approved, and his rank conferment ceremony would be held two days later.

With more than a hundred Marine Headquarters elites being commissioned, the ceremony was naturally going to be quite the spectacle.

It was said that at least several thousand people would come to watch. Any high-ranking officials who could spare the time would also be present.
