Background / History

Xiao Yan was once celebrated as the Xiao Clan's youngest Dou Zhe and a gifted young cultivator. His cultivation then regressed to the third stage of Dou Zhi Qi, turning him from a prodigy into an object of ridicule within his own clan. The decline leaves him burdened, defensive, and desperate for an explanation. 3

Ning Chen identifies that Xiao Yan's Dou Qi is being secretly drained by “something” connected to the black ring on his hand. After confronting the ring, Ning Chen forces its inhabitant, Yao Chen, to reveal himself. 3 10 11
