Background / History

Hikari was orphaned during the Warring States period. Because of her unique ocular jutsu, the Uchiha clan treated her as a weapon, subjected her to long-term shackling, and deployed her against enemy clans. Her wrists retained red marks from the restraints after her release 31 32.

She was sealed beneath Dayu Mountain in the Yellow Springs Corridor Reincarnation Technique, a rare space-time sealing technique. More than a century later, Uchiha Chen located the seal and freed her by cutting through the mountain with Perfect Susanoo 31.

Initially believing her war against the Senju and Uzumaki clans was ongoing, Hikari offered her hands to Chen for shackles and asked whether enemies remained. Learning that over 130 years had passed left her confused and emotionally shaken 31.

Without a purpose beyond being a weapon, Hikari struggled to understand freedom. Chen encouraged her to live and discover meaning through new experiences; she gradually began adapting to life in the modern Uchiha clan 32 33.

Her understanding of life was originally limited to warfare and killing enemy clans. Once freed, she becomes frightened by the unknown and uncertain of her identity, but she slowly develops curiosity, envy, humor, and gentleness 32 33.
