Appearance

  • Face described as handsome as jade, with an extraordinary temperament 34 45.
  • Often suppresses his aura completely, evading the senses of figures such as Cang Yuan 33.
  • His usual relaxed manner contrasts sharply with the domineering presence he displays in battle 38 39.
  • Frequently carries or produces cooking supplies, particularly for barbecue and Hot Pot 31 43.

Personality

He is fiercely loyal to Lin Feng and willingly assumes responsibility while his master is absent. Rather than remain hidden, he chooses to become a public banner for those resisting the Immortal Court, reasoning that someone must give others confidence 41.

Ye Xi is also resourceful in diplomacy. He repeatedly navigates dangerous encounters with powerful women connected to his master by addressing them as “Mistress,” flattering them with Lin Feng’s supposed praise, and appealing to their desire to protect him 35 36 130 142. He maintains a practical view of alliances, recruiting capable former enemies such as Hua Hongyi rather than wasting potential allies 42.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Cangwu Mountain and the Heterodox Path

Ye Xi first appears at Cangwu Mountain, where his unconventional cooking and manner draw Qiao Xi’s attention 31. He interrupts the dispute between Yuan Ruoyu and Ye Qingge, reveals that Lin Feng is his master, and claims the final place in the confrontation with the An Clan 33 34.

During his duel with An Yudu, Ye Xi deliberately pressures his opponent into exposing the Alien Dao Origin. He defeats An Yudu, then uses the Dao-Forbidden Stone to counter the Evil Pupil of the Heterodox Path and confronts its masked controller 38 39. He subsequently explains the threat posed by the Heterodox Beings and leads the effort to open Cangwu Mountain 40.

Resistance Against the Immortal Court

After revealing himself publicly, Ye Xi becomes a central leader of resistance against the Immortal Court. He recruits Hua Hongyi, predicts Jiang Wuji’s schemes, and engineers the rescue of imprisoned Great Emperors from the Desolate Mountain Imperial Prison 42 48 65.

When the Immortal Gate opens, Ye Xi refuses submission. He charges toward the Heavenly Gate, parts the World-Ending Immortal Light with his spear, and proves that the Immortal Court can be resisted 75 76. He later shelters the rescued Great Emperors, learns more about the Four Venerables and the Evil Eye, and calls in allied Great Emperors to oppose Venerable Heavenly Punishment 77 78.

Nine Provinces Immortal Alliance

With Lin Feng, Yuan Ruoyu, and Ye Qingge absent, Ye Xi accepts leadership of the alliance of major Nine Provinces powers. He establishes a command structure centered on himself and a council of twelve elders to coordinate resistance against the Immortal Mansions 125.

He then gains crucial external support: Chu Shanyue agrees to intervene in defense of the alliance, while Han Xingmian makes the Extreme Ice Immortal Palace his backing 130 142. Recognizing that the Nine Provinces remain weaker than the Immortal Mansions, Ye Xi chooses to cultivate in Qiongying Immortal Mansion and bring gifted Nine Provinces cultivators there to strengthen them 152.

Blue Star Ascension

As the Boundless Immortal Realm’s harvesting scheme becomes clear, Ye Xi concludes that delay will leave the Great Emperors without any path forward. He persuades Han Xingmian and the gathered Great Emperors to undergo Tribulation Transcendence together, aiming for Blue Star Immortal Mansion instead 201 203.

Ye Xi survives his lightning tribulation, ascends with the others, and becomes an immortal when the direction of ascension shifts away from the Boundless Immortal Realm toward Blue Star 205 206 207.
