Background

Xu Yang first encounters the Heaven-Slaughtering Dog in Heaven Vine Mountain, where it appears as a petite white puppy at the peak of the Eighth Layer of Qi Refining while fighting the Gold-Devouring Demon Lizard. Xu Yang kills the lizard and attempts to capture the puppy, but it dispels his Immobilization Technique with a flash of black light and flees into the mountain. 58

Using the Witch Dao Eye, Xu Yang discovers that the puppy's body appears pitch-black internally, containing a void-like black hole capable of swallowing Witch Power.
