Background

Long Aotian arrived in Jianghai as the Dragon Gate’s special envoy, intending to seek cooperation with the Lin Corporation. His first meeting with Lin Ao at the Qin family banquet was awkward: his arrogant presentation collapsed under the scrutiny of Gu Wanqing, Xia Qiange, Liu Menghan, and Liu Nian. 47

Initially overshadowed by Xiao Fan within the Dragon Gate, Long was only a peak Pre-Natal Realm martial artist while Xiao Fan had reached Grandmaster. Lin Ao exploited Long’s ambition to become sect master, surpass Xiao Fan, and earn his father’s recognition; Long ultimately joined Lin Ao in opposing Xiao Fan. 49 50

After Xiao Fan’s defeat, Long’s father, Long Batian—the Old Sect Master—praised him for the first time and entrusted him with responsibility for Dragon Gate development in Jianghai. Long later announced himself as the Dragon Gate Master and publicly rallied the Yin Tiger Division. 58 146

Appearance

Long Aotian is a handsome, charismatic young man whose confidence is most often expressed through a distinctive crooked-mouth smile. He can readily attract attention while working as a waiter or companion, though his exaggerated behavior frequently embarrasses Lin Ao. 46 51 92

  • Signature crooked smile used to provoke opponents and project confidence. 46 51
  • Handsome and charismatic enough to quickly attract customers during Sicily’s companion service. 92
  • Often adopts an intentionally dramatic or theatrical manner, especially while undercover. 88 89

Personality

Long is boastful, impulsive, and extremely susceptible to praise. Lin Ao can reliably motivate him by invoking Dragon Gate glory, his father’s approval, or the prospect of being remembered in history. Despite this, Long’s loyalty is sincere: once he considers Lin Ao his brother, he commits himself fully to protecting him and fighting his enemies. 49 72 150

His behavior is often theatrical. He becomes deeply invested in undercover roles, performs exaggerated emotional scenes without prompting, and considers himself a talented singer despite repeatedly causing chaos with karaoke performances. 88 89 100

Over time, Long develops into a capable organizer and commander. He reforms former gang members through discipline, mutual aid, and the “Eight Virtues,” aiming to make the Blade Dragon Association “the most beloved gangsters in the world.” 186 187

Long retains a personal moral boundary. While witnessing the depravity of Rotten City, he refuses to normalize its cruelty or abandon his conscience. 379

Abilities & Skills

Martial Arts

Long is a high-level martial artist who progresses from the Pre-Natal Realm to Grandmaster and later Mystic Martial. He is physically powerful, fast, and willing to fight opponents above his apparent level. 82 379 388

  • Defeated several Pre-Natal Realm Wanlong Association experts in under twenty seconds. 253
  • Fought alongside Feng Qiwu against the Demon-Mixing Pill-enhanced A-Tai. 156
  • Held his own against Fate Five, whose raw strength and speed were slightly inferior to Long’s but whose predictive evasion made him difficult to strike. 354
  • Uses the technique Pure Strike when fighting at full strength. 388

Concealment and Killing Intent Control

Long can suppress and control his killing intent well enough to bypass Fate Five’s predictive evasion ability. This lets him approach unexpectedly and attack from blind spots that Fate Five’s calculations fail to cover. 356

  • Appeared directly behind Fate Five without being detected. 356
  • Exploited Fate Five’s reliance on sensing hostile intent rather than overpowering his ability directly. 356

Fate and Heavenly Mandate Energy

Long possesses a limited amount of both Heavenly Mandate energy and Fate power, acquired through Lin Ao’s assistance, residual energy absorption, and his fusion with Nezha. 171 187 386

  • Continued passively absorbing residual Heavenly Mandate energy in Japan. 187
  • Can manifest a small wisp of red Fate power, though doing so is difficult for him. 386
  • His mixed energies place his true combat potential above his visible cultivation realm. 388

Leadership and Training

Long is the driving force behind the Blade Dragon Association’s transformation from a former criminal organization into a disciplined force. 179 186
