Background / History

Han Mo learned martial arts from Liang Song several years before Lin Zheyu became Liang’s student. His frequent deployments outside Songyi City to suppress bandits meant that Lin did not meet him until much later. 29 30

As a City Guard centurion, Han Mo commands one hundred elite soldiers. He explains that martial artists have limited advantages against a disciplined army: with a formation, his unit can contend even with stronger individual fighters, provided they fight head-on. 31

After Liang Song leaves Songyi City, Han Mo and Lin continue practicing in Liang’s former courtyard. Han Mo promises to help Lin if he encounters trouble and repeatedly acts as his sparring partner and practical-combat instructor. 38 39
