Instead, he remained standing there.

The Limitless Dao Master was faintly displeased. "Ning Ye, I have already let you go. Why are you still staying here? Don't tell me you still want to oppose me?"

Ning Ye shook his head. "There are three reasons why I won't leave."

"Speak!"

"First, I was lucky this time. I encountered a Sovereign on the verge of completing Dao Fusion. But what if, next time, I encounter a Sovereign still far from Dao Fusion?"

Ning Ye was not wrong.

For a Sovereign, completing Dao Fusion was undoubtedly the pinnacle of their realm. Yet because their Dao merged with Heaven, Ning Ye, who cultivated the Heavenly Dao, could instead contend against them. On the other hand, Sovereigns who had not reached that step posed a greater threat to Ning Ye.

Ning Ye did not want to inexplicably lose to an inferior Sovereign for such a reason.

Thus, he still had to consider other methods for dealing with such circumstances.

The Limitless Dao Master asked, "And the second?"

Ning Ye said, "I still haven't found the secret behind how you tempered your body to become a Sovereign."

The Limitless Dao Master was so angered that he laughed. "And the third?"

"You still haven't agreed to go to the Negative Realm with me," Ning Ye said.

"Since you put it that way, I need not be courteous with you any longer." The Limitless Dao Master snorted. At that snort, the star realm beneath Ning Ye's feet suddenly fled into the distance—the Limitless Dao Master had directly pushed the star realm away.

Without that star realm for him to devour, the Limitless Dao Master could neither advance nor complete his Dao Fusion.
