Early encounters

The Faceless Stone Statue first communicates with Liu Chengfeng through Heavenly Mound. Her position cannot be fixed: she repeatedly vanishes even when Heavenly Mound has locked onto her, seemingly teleporting or manifesting elsewhere. She describes “everywhere” as her foothold, but refuses to explain her nature. 121

She gives Liu one concrete lead: ancestral-vein roots extend from the Southern Frontier to the Great Burial Ground, and locating them can yield multiple portions of ancestral primal fluid. 121

Liu later connects her to the Stone Basket given to him by the Yin Empress. The statue refuses to confirm whether she is the Yin Empress, despite the basket appearing to belong to her. 145 160

Azure Emperor Ancestor Peak

A manifestation of the statue stands within the old temple atop Azure Emperor Ancestor Peak, near the Azure Emperor's obsession and the Emerald Vine Tender Shoot. Liu confirms that Basket-Carrying Brother is within the statue before she withdraws, leaving behind an ordinary stone figure. 146

The statue's starlight runes are evolved by Liu into a star map. During the process, her face briefly becomes visible as an exceptionally beautiful woman before vanishing again. 146

Great Burial Ground

At the abyssal altar in the Great Burial Ground, the Faceless Stone Statue suppresses a terrifying imprisoned existence beneath the Heavenly Prison Tribulation. A Handful of Yellow Earth uses an immortal vessel to suppress her in turn, threatening the altar's seal. 163

Liu sends the Stone Basket into the abyss, allowing the statue to reclaim it. With the basket restored, she unleashes immense divine radiance and battles A Handful of Yellow Earth, though the Thousand Prison Tribulation still constrains her. 163

When a dark fiendish tail escapes from the altar, the two enemies temporarily join forces to destroy it and reseal the altar. The statue then carries Liu Chengfeng and Listening Moon Fairy out of the abyss in the Stone Basket. 163

Liu Chengfeng's adviser and protector
