Origins and Cosmology
Primordial Chaos was opened after the era in which only the Seven Origin Gods existed. One of those gods opened the realm and transformed into all things, producing its first generation of living beings. The other deities subsequently established its major systems, including rules, reincarnation, yin-yang, the Nine Extremes, the Nine Palaces, and the Supreme Plain Rules 617.
The Primordial Chaos Great Emperor is identified as the deity who opened Primordial Chaos, the first Primordial Chaos deity to attain the Dao, and the figure after whom the realm was named 633.

| Chaos | Opened within Primordial Chaos by Tai Yi Chaos; its creation divided existence into Great Dao planes, great worlds, small universes, and other layers 617 |
| Origin Plane | Described as vastly stronger and more spatially advanced than both Primordial Chaos and Chaos 644 |

Primordial Aura
- Primordial spiritual qi is older than Chaos spiritual qi, giving Primordial Chaos beings generally greater aptitude than Chaos beings. 461
- The primordial purple qi from Primordial Chaos’s first opening is stated to surpass even the pure Chaos qi of Chaos’s beginning. 461
Primordial Chaos Deities
The Seven Origin Gods were created when the Heavenly Emperor bestowed spirits upon fragments of his own soul. They later became the Primordial Chaos deities 771 772.

A Primordial Chaos deity’s power is portrayed as overwhelmingly beyond ordinary beings: Supreme Plain Sword Lord states that even all living beings of Primordial Chaos and Chaos combined would not match one deity 607.
Conflict with Chaos
The inhabitants of Primordial Chaos and Chaos developed a deep, reciprocal hostility. Primordial Chaos beings believe Chaos occupied their homeland, while Chaos beings believe Primordial Chaos obstructs Chaos’s growth; after countless years, this hatred became ingrained in both sides’ bloodlines 453.
The Chaos Imperial Clan belongs to the Chaos faction. Its incursions into Primordial Chaos are considered taboo, and the clan operates covertly to avoid becoming a target of universal condemnation 453.
Conflict with the Origin God Clan
The Origin God Clan consists of beings born from Origin itself. They believe Primordial Chaos forcibly claimed Origin’s territory and consequently hate both Primordial Chaos and the Heavenly Emperor 738.
- The clan established an independent realm beyond Primordial Chaos that even Primordial Chaos deities could not locate. 738
- Shi Dutian and the Origin God Clan used the Primordial Chaos Black Extreme Grand Array, manifesting vast black tentacles through spatial rifts to seal and crush their enemies. 630 635
- Yin-Yang Origin Emperor intervened against Shi Dutian’s invasion, forcibly stopping the array and annihilating the Origin God Clan forces present. 635
- Later, Ren Wo Xiao and Supreme Plain Heavenly Lord fought the clan’s forces when Shi Gangzu, an ancestor capable of contending with Tai Yi Chaos, declared his intent to wipe out Primordial Chaos. 733
Saint Prodigy Chess Game
Pangu halted the direct conflict between Su Yi and the Primordial Chaos deities by creating the Saint Prodigy Chess Game. Its outcome would determine the divine factions allowed to remain in Primordial Chaos. 661
| Rule or outcome | Details |
|---|---|
| Participants | Prodigies fought on behalf of their respective Primordial Chaos deities and factions 663 |
| Restriction | Su Yi could not use power that did not belong to him or leave Primordial Chaos during the game; violations would permanently bar the Emperor Su Sect from entering the realm 661 |
| Prize | The victorious prodigy would receive Pangu’s enlightenment infusion and become a new Primordial Chaos deity 663 |
| Result | Su Yi won the game, becoming the new deity; Tai Yi Chaos, Primordial Chaos Great Emperor, Nine Extremes Gan Emperor, and Nine Palaces Origin Emperor were expelled from their positions 711 712 |
Later Threats
- Guan Jingfo of the Chen Chan Sect threatened to destroy one Primordial Chaos region each month unless the Emperor Su Sect confronted him beyond Primordial Chaos; Northern Primordial Chaos was destroyed first. 739
- A mysterious force later caused living beings above the Primordial Chaos Realm to disappear throughout the realm. 835
- Su Yi and Supreme Plain Heavenly Lord considered appointing another deity, with Su Yi prioritizing righteousness and benevolence over strength to avoid turning Primordial Chaos into a battlefield. 835
