She knew all too well how difficult things had been for Han Changshuo.

The Han Clan had sent Han Changshuo to join the Ocean Listening Pavilion, hoping he could make use of its cultivation resources to reach the Foundation Establishment Realm and provide greater support to the clan.

They had never expected him to have such a miserable time there. He was usually responsible for refining low-tier pills, and now he had been assigned to receive guests.

Han Changshuo also regretted his decision. Back in the clan, every member had fawned over him. At the very least, no one had ever tripped him up. He had joined the Ocean Listening Pavilion thinking he would have a better future, only to discover that he had been completely wrong.

The tasks Chen Yuxin assigned him all took a long time, yet earned very few contribution points. At this rate, if he wanted to save enough points to exchange for a Foundation Establishment Pill, it would take at least twenty or thirty years.

"Second Brother, can't you do other tasks? Do you have to refine pills in the Alchemy Hall? At this rate, you'll never save many contribution points," Han Changming asked with a frown.

Han Changshuo gave a bitter smile and sighed. "How I wish I could. I got into the pavilion because of my alchemy skills, so I was assigned to the Alchemy Hall. I only need to complete my regular tasks each month, and I can use the rest of my time however I like. Hunting demonic beasts or searching for spirit herbs is the easiest way to earn contribution points. My strength is alchemy, but I work under Chen Yuxin, and she may not let me go out to refine pills. Seventh Aunt knows, too—I've hardly ever left home.
