Background

The Virtual Universe permeates the Primitive Universe as a separate universe of consciousness. It enables real-time communication across the entire Primitive Universe and allows users to cultivate, study laws, train, and interact in simulated environments. Xiao Si regards its creator as a genius for achieving this scale and realism. 4

Users connect a portion of their consciousness through a Consciousness Sensor. Access can be time-limited, restricted by account permissions, or granted through military and organizational authority. 2 10 23

Functions

Simulation and Training

The Virtual Universe can create combat environments, opponents, terrain, and scenarios for cultivation or movement-technique practice.

• The Giant Axe Arena's Killing Space allows users to fight simulations of themselves or selected opponents, with death followed by respawn. 2 6
• Its arenas can host public death matches with betting, designated battlefields, and spectator seating. 5
• Bai Muye uses custom scenarios and inherited battle memories to refine Lightning Escape within the Virtual Universe. 50
• It can simulate varied terrain and enemies, but cannot perfectly reproduce Bai Muye's body with its hundredfold genetic multiplier. 53

The system provides immediate long-range communication, email, calls, searchable information, forums, and data exchange.

The Virtual Universe supports the human military's Outer Battlefield operations.

Residences and Independent Spaces

The Virtual Universe includes residential, commercial, and organizational spaces.

• Bai Muye purchases land in Nine Star Bay on Black Dragon Mountain Island and builds a manor there. 69
• Hong Alliance City exists as an independent plane within the Virtual Universe, with residences assigned according to membership status. 120

Security and Limitations

• Connecting to the Virtual Universe records a user's real-world location; someone with sufficiently high authority can use the system to track that user. 120 132
