Background / History

The Zerg operate as one of the major camps on the Outer Battlefield. Though described as inferior to humanity in technology and lacking the Virtual Universe's convenient battlefield communications, they have heavily invested in communication methods and can rapidly report discoveries or summon reinforcements. Their forces compete with human, Monster Race, and Machine Race camps for territory and treasures. 26 84 125

In the Black Meteor Mountain Range, a World Lord-level Zerg Mother Empress led thousands of peak World Lord Zerg Warriors against Dongluo's legion. Her swarm nearly wiped out the human force before reinforcements forced a withdrawal; Dongluo's legion lost more than half its members. 33 35

The same Mother Empress, Bei Qingxue, later amassed a much larger swarm and destroyed a Monster Race legion on Purple Cloud Island. Bai Muye defeated her soul attack, enslaved her, and took control of her Insect Nest and warriors. 97 98

After Bai Muye's use of the Spirit Slip Race's soul secret technique became known, the Zerg identified him as a major threat. Nancheng and Yilan led a large force against him in the Star Tower, while Ziyou later pursued him into human territory. Zerg Warriors

Zerg Warriors are gestated combat units controlled by a Mother Empress. Their rank depends on the Mother Empress's realm, and they can be produced in enormous numbers when sufficient resources are available. 99

• Tiger Armor Zerg — approximately 30 meters tall, heavily armored, covered in spikes, and reliant on instinctive combat. They possess sharp claws and can fire near-light-speed energy beams from their foreclaws. 33 34

Bei Qingxue's Enslavement

Bai Muye discovers Bei Qingxue's Insect Nest after recognizing the aura of her warriors. He cuts through her swarm, withstands her soul illusion, enslaves her, and incorporates her Nest into his Internal World. 97 98 99

Star Tower Retaliation

Zerg King Double-Face reports Bai Muye's location, bringing Nancheng and Yilan to the Forbidden Space via God Kingdom Teleportation. Their force of King Ranks and Immortal warriors besieges him, but Bai Muye kills Nancheng, destroys her Brood Nest, and defeats Yilan. 125 126 127 128

Ziyou's Pursuit

Following Nancheng and Yilan's resurrection, Ziyou uses Yilan's tracking ability to hunt Bai Muye in human territory. The pursuit fails when Venerable Guiyi and the Chaos City Lord intervene. 130 131 132

Primal Star Conflicts

Ziyou is defeated by Bai Muye on a Primal Star, and Lord Ziluo is soul-controlled after her domain and soul techniques fail to overcome him. The Zerg Empress subsequently joins the Machine Race Father God in a direct attempt to eliminate Bai Muye. 223 224 230 234

Failed Encirclement of Soul Lord
