Background / History

Dragon Garden initially seized the position of Class C representative by presenting his reading of the school’s point system and using a mixture of intimidation and favors to establish control. Though classmates mistook him for a simple delinquent, he proved strategically sharp and deliberately favored a “stick and carrot” approach that made subordinates fearfully value his approval. Kaneda’s public challenge ended with Dragon Garden slapping him. 3

His claim to leadership triggered immediate violence. He swiftly incapacitated Ishizaki, but Albert’s superior physique overwhelmed him. Dragon Garden nevertheless continued attacking, threatening to stalk Albert until he submitted; this tenacity caused Albert to hesitate despite holding the physical advantage. His reputation as Ryuen Kakeru—a middle-school district leader who eventually defeated stronger opponents through persistence and violence—caused much of the class to reconsider opposing him. 4

Prince Ganlongdao defeated Dragon Garden and replaced him as Class C’s recognized leader. Refusing to accept the loss, Dragon Garden answered Ganlongdao’s rooftop challenge despite recognizing the disparity between them.
